The views from the hotel are absolutely staggering. One of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed. Staff were also incredibly friendly and engaging. The property is a little dated but everything was clean and worked fine. Highly recommend staying here.

Great little spot!
lovely location, we had an ocean view. Enjoyed walking everywhere. Breakfast was great.... wonderful pastries. Staff was great overall. We had a toilet issue that was fixed promptly.

Nice place to enjoy Ischia
Ischia is an amazing island and we enjoyed a wedding with our friends. Don Felipe was a simple, clean accommodation for our visit. Simple room with modest amenities ... but we spent most of our stay out and about on the island.

The location was stunning lovely and quiet with a beautiful view and close enough for a 20 minute walk to the castle then on into town. The place is a bit dated but for the price we paid it was fine. Breakfast was a bit limited too but again for the price it was fine.

The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and accomodating. My sons favorite part of the trip was hanging out in the hotel lobby with Sophia who was very nice. The air conditioning worked great, but the shower is a bit small.

Nice hotel for a short stay
We stayed at Hotel Don Felipe for one night in August. It was a nice hotel, comfortable enough for our short stay. They had a small pool with a beautiful view, which was nice to swim in to escape the heat. The hotel was also about 20 minutes from the Aragonese Castle, which was the main reason we came to Ischia. It's a bit far from the port but you can take the bus if you don't want to walk. The quality of service was okay but not the best I've encountered while traveling. At check in, they asked for our passports and when I got to the room, I realized that they never gave it back to me, like most hotels did. When I went back to ask for it, the staff disappeared into the back room for 10 minutes before coming back and giving us our passports back. There were other people waiting for their ID's as well, after asking for them several times. Their actions made us just a little nervous because it almost seemed like they couldn't find our personal documents, but it turned out fine thankfully. The room itself was okay, nothing fancy. The sheets were pretty rough and not very comfortable. The breakfast was good, and they had some cute cats.

Beautiful scenery and great service in Ischia
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Don Felipe. The owners were wonderful. The stay is in a beautiful location with easy access to the beach, but a little far from town if you don't have a vehicle. Have some wine on the outdoor terrace and enjoy the spectacular view. And the restaurant Gardenia Mare is next door and has fantastic service and food: make a reservation, you won't regret it. If you have a lot of luggage, be warned that there are stairs. For English only speakers, the owners don't speak much English but its enough to get by and they're very patient.

Hyggeligt, lille bjerghotel i rolige omgivelser
20-30 minutters gang fra Ischia Porto og Ischia Ponte ligger Don Felipe. Det er ikke for de gangbesværede, da der er mange trapper, men det har en fantastisk udsigt over både havet og Aragonese borgen. Fin morgenmadsbuffet, god kaffe, og rigtig god service. Poolen er meget lille, og bliver grøn, når det regner (men er stadig til at bade i). Værelserne er af en god standard, selvom airconditionen kan være svær at regne ud, og de fleste har en vidunderlig udsigt. Helt klart en anbefaling herfra :)

Le personnel de l’hôtel n'est pas du tout accueillant et aimable,ils sont désagréables lorsqu'on les sollicitent. Les femmes de ménage laissent la porte ouverte après leurs passages.La literie est déplorable, ce sont des sommiers à grille. La chambre est petite et le mobilier en mauvais état. La terrasse de la chambre n'est pas privée, mais commune à toutes les chambres. Pour info, l’arrêt de bus est situé en face de l’hôtel (bus n°12 et 13).

d accoglierci ed istruirci e'stato il signor Filippo, anziano ma simpatico ed arguto gestore, la camera confortevole ci ha permesso sonni tranquilli e spazio attrezzato di lettini e tavolini nel terrazzo antistante ed affacciato alla baia di Cartaromana,i pranzi e le cene si possono consumare in uno splendido hotel vicino a prezzi molto convenienti scegliendo tra più portate, insomma siamo proprio soddisfatti della nostra vacanza .

Zuerst mussten wir ca. 50 Stufen steilaufwärts unsere Koffer zur Anmeldung tragen (ganze Hotelanlage zieht sich über einen Steilhang), als wir unsere Koffer hinaufgetragen hatten und außer Atem oben angekommen waren, wurden wir mit den Worten: "Sie sind zu dick, Madame" von Don Felipe begrüßte. Das angebotene Abendessen in einem nahegelegenen Hotel war sehr ungenügend und der Ober war so arrogant, dass es schlimmer gar nicht geht. Im Bad des Hotels waren an der Decke mehrere Schimmelflecken zu sehen und die Matratzen haben sich immer verschoben, sodass wir sehr schlecht geschlafen haben. Das Frühstück war spartanisch, aber sehr lecker und der Blick auf die Bucht mit den Felsen und den Blick auf Capri und Neapel war wunderbar. Wie der Strand war, konnten wir nicht beurteilen, dann es gab gar keinen Strand. Es war alles mit Hotels zugebaut, sodass wir nur eine kleine Möglichkeit hatten ans Meer (durch ein Restaurant hindurch) zu kommen und da ging es sofort steil hinein, außerdem gehörte dieser Zugang zum Meer zu einem anderen Hotel. Allerdings gehörte zum Hotel ein kleiner Thermalpool, der aber meistens besetzt war. Alles in allem war der Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel, das sehr in die Jahre gekommen ist, wirklich enttäuschend, sodass wir sehr froh waren, als es nach drei Tagen Aufenthalt wieder mit unserer Reise weiterging.

Hotellet var superfint och rummet jättebra. Personalen var mkt hjälpsam. Nära till centrum med butiker och restauranger. Frukosten var fantastisk, bla ingick mimosa. Ska man klaga på något så var poolen lite liten.

Un "punto di vista" speciale
Breve soggiorno in questo albergo situato in una bellissima posizione proprio di fronte al Castello Aragonese e sopra gli "scogli di S. Anna". Tutto perfetto: camere pulite e dotate dei comforts adeguati con "vista mare" stupenda e dotate di impianto aria condizionata molto apprezzata in questi giorni di caldo africano, colazione ottima seppur con scelta limitata, convenzione con ristorante di ottima qualità ubicato nelle vicinanze. Il titolare (Don Felipe) è una persona veramente speciale ed è stato un vero piacere ascoltarlo.

Soggiorno molto piacevole, location perfetta davanti alla spiaggia di Cartaromana con una vista strepitosa sul mare e sul suggestivo Castello Aragonese. Hotel facile da raggiungere dal Porto di Ischia noleggiando uno scooter o un'auto. Camere fresche, essenziale la standard, con la possibilità di accedere alla piscina dell'Hotel con acqua a 30 gradi e vista mozzafiato. L'Hotel offre una convenzione per lo stabilimento Gardenia situato proprio sotto l'albergo, di cui abbiamo usufruito e vi consiglio di andarci almeno una volta, secondo me la migliore spiaggia dell'Isola. Unica pecca forse la colazione non molto abbondante. Comunque personale gentilissimo e soggiorno consigliatissimo!!!

Hotel posizionato in una zona tranquilla, lontono dal caos del centro pero facilmente raggiungibile. Ottima colazione.Spettacolare la piscina all'aperto!!! Fermata dell'autobus proprio difronte all'hotel pero attualmente interrotta per lavori alla fogna. Aria condizionata in camera ci è stato detto che c'è pero viene accessa dopo il 10 giugno!!!!

Upeat näkymät ja ympäristö, parvekkeet ja uima-altaat merelle. Huoneet siistit ja siivottiin päivittäin mutta ulkoa tuli jonkin verran muurahaisia yms. Hotellissa ihana aito italialainen tunnelma ja omistajat.

Ett mysigt, litet hotell med fantastisk utsikt. Rummen är små och lite slitna, men rena! Servicen är jättebra och alla gjorde sitt bästa för att vi skulle ha en fantastisk vistelse! Frukost helt okej, med fantastisk capuccino som don felipe gjorde varje morgon! Hotellet ligger lite avsides, men busshållplatsen ligger precis utanför, annars tar det ca 15-20 minuter att gå till centrum!
