“home from home”

This was our first holiday for several years and we were not disappointed. Staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Just as you would imagine an Italian hotel.

“Family Style........”

In Italy you know you have great digs when you are treated as family. This family has owned this property for over 50 yrs. It's kept spotlessly clean; the food is great (we took full fare) and the staff are wonderful. We had a large room with a big, sunny veranda. Please note: some room face a somewhat busy street; Pull the storm doors down at night for some sound insulation.

“Warm, friendly service.”

The family at the europa hotel went out of their way to help us during our stay in Ischia. They provided advice on where to go for the best sunshine, suggestions about recommended spas and restaurants, assistance with internet access among other things. The breakfast was fantastic. The location of the hotel is perfect as it really allows you to explore the entire island without any hassles or stress. It is well serviced with buses and has a lovely view on the terrace. I definitely hope to be back!

“All one needs from a spa hotel without the frills !”

This hotel is comfortable well-run and homely. Its special attraction is the range of massage treatments, and the daily-filled and emptied thermal pool. I had several queries before we went, eg did they supply robes/dressing gowns (they don't, but it is OK to nip down to the pool in the hotel towel) which were answered almost within the hour, through which I arranged transfer from the airport, ferry and to the hotel door which went perfectly even though the plane was very delayed. I also booked a massage for the first day of the holiday. There are none of the unecessary trappings of a 5-star hotel but all the features one needs, and the cost was very reasonable. Half board included a good dinner with choice of menu and different dishes every night of the week. There is also a good supply of books, in English, left by previous visitors so that even though it rained a lot we were not bored. We had good advice about local buses and staff were very helpful.

“Overall very pleasant and good value for money”

we went half board. the food was good considering we are vegetarians. They really put themselves out to make sure we had what we liked. Only draw back is that there are no lifts and we had to lug our suitcases up 2 steep flights of stairs. This was not welcome after a long journey. Otherwise no complaints. Thermal pool is a bonus in a 3 star hotel.

“Friendly, quiet, clean”

Hotel Europa is ideally located for a relaxing visit to Ischia, not in the most buzzy place, but near enough to a range of restaurants, shops & interesting places. We were very impressed with how clean the hotel was kept and at the good value evening meals (not the "best" culinary experience, but hearty and tasty). There was help at hand for any questions about Ischia attractions & travel, and it never felt like we were being too much trouble. Breakfast was a decent buffet. The pool was small but adequate. My husband enjoyed using it, but I couldn't as the water is from a thermal spring, so not advised during pregnancy. It was still nice to laze around, with drinks available. Useful library too. Would recommend.

“Good base to see the island”

Small family run hotel. A little old fashioned, but friendly and helpful staff. We were there for a week in July and could have done with air conditioning, as only ceiling fan in bedroom, so sleeping was difficult. Thermal pool hot and interesting.
