Lovely location, not far from Vienne, but no air condition in the rooms and we was there in the heat wave. Some rooms are modern but the shower was in the bedroom, no separate bathroom! And some bedrooms needed updating and with several animals in the garden I was unable to open the windows during the heat wave. I thought the breakfast was over priced at €14 euro and no cooked breakfast. But the staff was friendly, helpful and could speak English.

A true gem !!! Fabulous experience after a very long drive en route to Villefranche.
We arrived after not having eaten anything all day at 10pm at night - we were offered a selection of cheeses, hams and bread with fresh bottled water and wine. Staff couldnt have been more helpful and the room was first class - a true 5 star rating by us
many thanks for your genuine hospitality

I want to start off by saying that this hotel has one of the biggest elevators I've ever seen at a non-chain hotel in France. That seems like a good intro for the Grand Hotel, which is a really nice boutique hotel that's been completely redone to have all the amenities of a chain hotel without the bigger prices. Returning to the elevator, this one could comfortably hold 8-10 people, which is the first clue that the hotel's probably been totally redone at some point in the last few years. The rooms were quite comfy, though like all French hotel rooms a tad on the small size. One large bed (queen?) and a reading/writing desk were about all you could fit in. But that was all I needed. Also loved the bathroom design, which had the shower and rest of the bathroom floor all at one contiguous level so that it all drained quite well instead of having water flood out of the shower onto the bathroom floor. Fixtures were all quite new and in good shape, and everything in general was quite tastefully done. Staff also very friendly and helpful, and their first-floor restaurant looked good as well even though I never used it (breakfast only, but lots of newspapers too). It's right in the center of town, so easy to walk to just about anything, though train station is a bit further, about 15 minutes. On the whole, a very pleasant hotel experience for my week-long stay.

Great location in Grenoble. 5 minute walk from the TGV Train station in central Grenoble. Easy access to tram lines. Stayed one week in a quadruple suite with one double bed and one double pullout sofa. Both beds were very comfortable. The 2 room apartment was modern and clean. Kitchenette had 2 burners, microwave, kettle, small fridge, sink, dishes, glasses, pots, bowls, utensils. Small grocery store conveniently around the corner. I made my breakfasts and lunches there without issue. The apartment also had a desk, flat screen TV, and kitchen table with four chairs. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful and tried their best to speak English when required. I have no negative things to say about this experience.

This is a hidden treasure near Grenoble, a hidden treasure in itself. The hotel is well appointed, gives a luxurious and serene atmosphere complete with antique furniture it was a wonderful night. We were unble to access the spa facilities and it was fully booked, but would recommend booking when you arrive to take full advantage of the property.
