Very nice affordable Luxury

Very nice facility, great breakfast buffet, enjoyable pool and tennis courts. Golf course looked nice, but did not play. I will return again. Nice piano bar--fun boat ride to Barra de Navidad--good restaurant on site.

Pros: Location and dining room options. Friendly staff. Views. Multi level pools. Loved the basket of fruit delivered to the room and the robes.
Cons: Internet service, refurbishing the bathroom tiles/repairs around the sink areas especially.
Location: Golfing and marina nearby that we did not use. Tennis volleyball, again not for us. Water taxi to mainland and coastal boat cruise rental was good.
The meals in the Antonio Restaurant were fabulous with the expertise of Ernesto. In his absence the effort was there but lacking the guideance although the staff tried very hard to match it. The room itself needs a facelift in the bathroom with cracked and broken tiling around the sink, Clean and nice but falls short. Room attention daily was very good. Some problems with the air conditining one night which resulted in the dining room being overly warm and uncomfortable as well as the room. Nice variety at the breakfast buffet. Bar service at the pool was slow or invisible. Pool was sparkling clean. Internet was intermittend and kept cutting out even on the balcony. Best reception was in the hotel lobby. Staff overall were very friendly and helpful.

Actividades: tiene casi de todo a la mano (Golf en Isla Navidad, Pesca, Actividades Acuáticas, Tennis, etc.) Comida: excelente comida en el hotel, incluyendo el buffet de desayuno. Muy buen restaurant tailandés en La Terraza para cenar. Servicio: aceptablemente bueno, considerando que es un hotel grande y con muchos desniveles. Estado de las Instalaciones: jardines muy bien cuidados, incluso tiene un minigolf y zona para niños muy bien cuidada.

Nice getaway

Travelled Thursday to Sunday with the all-inclusive plan. Quiet, relaxing spot. Hotel was great. Good ok and loved the entertainment in the bar Didn't like that some food and drinks were excluded from the all-inclusive. Didn't want for anything but I went to order a martini and that was included. Looked at the sushi menu and some items were excluded from all-inclusive. would like it if everything is included

Fabulous resort!

Pros: Liked the architecture, the views, the walks around, yoga on the beach, tennis, beautiful pools, friendly atmosphere, proximity to town.
Cons: The ONLY thing is that next time, I would ask for a room not overlooking the physical plant as it is a bit noisy.There are plenty of other options.
Location: Walk/biking to a wild and beautiful beach; taking the boat into town (2 - minutes) to hang out at the swim-able beach, cafes, shops and bars.
The Grand Bay is an absolutely beautiful resort; the architecture and design are stunning. The views are spectacular. There are lovely walks around the grounds and out to the beach. It is fun being a 2 minute boat ride into the town of Barra with its array of excellent restaurants and bars. We loved hanging out in the different pools, which are all surrounded by gorgeous landscaping. We also enjoyed the daily yoga on the beach and the tennis on the AstroTurf courts. It is the kind of place where you can easily meet the other inmates; it is a very friendly atmosphere. The piano bar is great: live music and friendly atmosphere.

Pros: LAS INSTALACIONES Y EL PERSONAL
Cons: CREO QUE LES FALTO ESPECIFICAR QUE EL COSTO DE LA CENA DE FIN DE AÑO NO INCLUIA NINGUNA BEBIDA, DEBIENDO INCLUIR REFRESCOS Y BRINDIS.

Muy buen hotel, con todos los servicios y excelente atención. Lo ´que creo que puede mejorar es la calidad de la cocina, me pareció de menor nivel a la calidad del hotel

Bonito hotel, pero necesita mejorar

El hotel está cómodo y los cuartos en excelente condición, sin embargo creemos que deben mejorar principalmente en estos aspectos- 1. En nuestra cuenta al hacer el check out, trataron de cobrarnos artículos del mini bar que no habíamos consumido. Fue incomoda la situación y nos fuimos con mal sabor. 2. Hay un trato muy diferente por parte del personal a los turistas extranjeros versus locales. Ej: A los turistas americanos les sirven agua no más se sientan a la mesa versus si eres local la tienes que pedir y a veces reciben tu solicitud con mala cara. 3. Caminando por los pasillos se ve falta de mantenimiento- paredes con manchas verdes, focos quemados. Las máquinas del gimnasio especialmente las de correr, ya merecen cambio. En general, sí recomendamos el hotel, pero aconsejamos a quien vaya que tome estos aspectos en cuenta, especialmente el primero, revisen a detalle la cuenta!
