Location and property were amazing! Convenient to visit our favorite bars, restaurants and shopping locations in Islamorada The amenities sandy beach, palm trees, tiki umbrellas, pool just super beautiful!

Super cute! It’s really more of a vacation rental than a hotel which I wish we would’ve realized before booking, but it was clean. The beds were not the most comfortable, and the sheets were polyester, but the price was right! Cute pool area. There is no swimming beach but you can take kayaks and paddle boards through the property - it’s super easy. The property itself is adorable, and very very well-maintained.

This is a nice old-style motel right off the main road in Isamorada. The property is nice, right on the water, but there is not a beach just a sea wall. Nice pool and views. There are also several good restaurants nearby. We were a bit disappointed in our room, we booked a queen ocean view. There was a queen bed and it did face the ocean, however, our room was very small….we’re talking a bed squeezed into alcove with about 6 inches on either side…..no other furniture except a chair. The bathroom was also RV sized. We managed to make it work since we didn’t spend much time in it but wasn’t easy getting ready for dinner, etc. we also did not get any maid service during our 5 day stay? Not sure if this is normal or you had to ask for it? We did see housekeeping personnel walking about so I know they had them. Overall, not a total bust but we wouldn’t return here.

Courteous staff. Old 1960’s kitschy resort simply updated in the rooms, very clean. It was super convenient to have the kitchen in the double queen suite. The hot water was quite lacking and should be updated. We had fun using the paddle boards and kayaks (no extra charge), though they are very beat up and in need of some maintenance. Pool area was super clean and the pool warm and pleasant. Not luxurious, but a good value. Thank you!

The grounds at Drop Anchor are immaculate! The beauty of the grounds and cleanliness of the rooms and common areas made this a 5-star stay. I really appreciated the ease of checking in late (we arrived at midnight-call ahead and they leave a key in a lockbox for you!) Super helpful friendly staff also made for a great stay. We walked to lunch and enjoyed biking on the quiet service road. I got the local paper and pool towels along with coffee in the lobby each AM.

Very comfortable and clean. A little dated and expensive for one night. Check in is not till 3 and you have to pay a resort fee, mandatory, to use bikes and kayaks, but you can only use them till 5.
