Great Yellowstone hideaway
Posted Jan 26, 2012
Pros: good homey feeling
Cons: not a lot of restaurants nearby unless you like Subway.
Location: reasonably convenient to Yellowstone. We spent 3 days in the park. About a 20 minute drive from the south entrance.
We loved it!! Convenient to Yellowstone. Quiet. Comfortable. Good value.

Great Base Camp!

We stayed here to go to Yellowstone. Being 20 minutes away made it really convenient. The hotel itself, a time-share property, was very comfortable, with friendly staff, and everything our family of seven needed. A fully equipped kitchen made the preparation of quick lunches for the park and easy dinners really excellent. Would definitely stay there again!

A great place to hang your hat

The Island Park Village Resort is nothing fancy, but we were not looking for anything fancy. Just a nice place to stay while we enjoyed the surrounding area. The place was very clean. We could tell the place is not new, but the interior is very well maintained. The WI-FI access was a bit annoying; we could not access it from the clubhouse, but we could at the front office. But, then, we're on vacation to get away, right? Therefore, we survived. We didn't interact much with the staff, but when we did, they were very courteous and attentive. We will definitely look at staying there again next time we venture into the area.
