Excellent location on the promenade, good reasonably priced food in the restaurant, helpful friendly staff.

“Dont be put off by the name! Its excellent!”

The words "Casino" and "Palace" conjure up images of professional gambling and a naff attempt to dress up what could probably be rather seedy and run down premises,but it wasnt like that at all.There is a casino,but you dont notice it unless you want to go in,which I didnt.The interior is modern, smart, and tastefully decorated.The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant.The room was clean and had everything you would want.The tea, coffee and chocolate supplies were replenished every day,and there were even biscuits.The food in the restaurant was very good indeed,not cheap,but good value,and a bonus was the fact that although there were punctilious waiters on hand it was self service,and you could have as much as you want.The breakfast had everything and would see you through the whole day. The hotel was fairly central and situated right on the seafront.Finally,the whole thing was very good value,especially considering this was a busy Bank Holiday weekend.I recommend it unreservedly.

Main advantages are the central location and the pool. Disadvantage - restaurant is a carvery so if you just want a snall meal you have to eat in the bar. Excellent chippy next door !

For the price paid this was good value for money. Not a huge amount of character and the casino (operated by Gala) was hardly the "taste of Vegas in the Irish Sea" as advertised.

“Good stay in Douglas”

Really good location on the Promenade in Douglas. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel facilities excellent. Breakfast superb, evrything on offer you could ever want for breakfast and cooked lovely. Stayed here 2 nights to take part in the end 2 end cycle event and found the comfort and facilites suited my requirements. Did not manage to make use of the pool facilities unfortunately.

“Outstanding Hotel”

The staff at this hotel demonstrated the most outstanding customer service I have ever experienced, and I travel a lot for business and pleasure. This was demonstrated repeatedly during our 4 day stay by all staff from the check-in reception area to the dining room personnel to housekeeping staff. All hotels could do well to emulate the customer service culture that has been established at the Isle of Man Hilton. Wonderful experience!

“Good value”

Good deal with Expedia. Otherwise a bit expensive. Good location and hotel has a pool which is probably unusual in Isle Of Man. staff very good. Rooms could be cleaned a little earlier. Maybe they were short. Bar is pleasant with meals and restaurant is good if you want a more substantial meal. Free newspapers as well.

“enjoyed my stay apart from the noise”

During my stay I have only one complaint, but a serious one I think. I found it most annoying that I was kept awake until the early hours of the morning by people socialising outside the receiption doors and around the car park. I started with my window open, and then closed it, but this did not keep out the sound of voices and laughter. I am sure the management were aware of this and could have asked the people responsible to respect that guests were trying to sleep

“Excellent service”

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The room that was booked for us was tiny - couldn't even hang things in the wardrobe it was so small. But they upgraded us to a lovely big room with a sea view! Will happily return - as long as we have the bigger room.
