Nice hotel on the beachPosted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Location Cleanliness Friendliness of staff
Cons: If you intend putting someone in a room by the boilers, please advise this when booking. Also improve wifi and clean up area near lift.
Location: Horse Trams, bus tour of Douglas., steam trains dating back to 1874 and a trip to the Summit if Mount Snaefell.
Stayed there for a week. Lovely large Victorian building opposite the sea and the main shopping street. Hotel was great. Staff we're very friendly and by and large the hotel was clean. There was a bit of a bad smell near the lifts and our room was right at the back of the building facing the boilers. The boilers were coming on every few minutes and we're very load, hence we got virtually no sleep there. They offer "free wifi". This is true to an extent, as it is very hard to surf the web when most sites eg. BBC, sky News and plenty more were blocked out. Even a lot of the apps on my iPhone and iPad were blocked. The wifi system was also logging out every few minutes which was very annoying. I had to go to a cafe down the road to login to their wifi.

Helpful and welcoming staffPosted Aug 3, 2014
Stayed with my Dad during a visit to the island on the 50th anniversary of his TT racing days. Perfect spot, great breakfast and evening meals in the bar. Also made use of the pool and gym- had exclusive use of these as nobody seemed to use them.

perfect location on sea frontPosted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: breakfast very good comfortable room
Cons: shower facilities
Location: Good location lots to do i.e. horse drawn transport, electric and steam train close by to visit places of interest
The Sefton hotel was very nice close to shops, restaurants and all local transport. This was our first visit to the Isle of Man and we loved it. Hope to come back again very soon.

Nice hotel but could be betterPosted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Food staff rooms
Cons: Larger showers & car park. Air conditioning!
Location: Ideal spot on the promenade close to shops and sea. Horse drawn tram stop nearby for the electric railway. Lovely view from breakfast room.
Food ,staff, rooms are good and the inner atrium looks nice but is too noisy and too hot - no aircon in rooms. Bathrooms are nice but spoiled by a miniscule shower! Excellemt position on prom but car parking is limited

Excellent Douglas hotelPosted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Situation and room was situated in atrium, which was very relaxing.
Cons: Breakfast service.
Location: Central Douglas and very convenient. Theatre is next door.
Very convenient hotel for Douglas and travelling the island, with good car park. Lunch in the bar was excellent but breakfast service was poor if requesting anything other than buffet. The room was very comfortable and clean.

Sefton hotelPosted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: Where it was situated.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the only down side was that our room did not have a view, it faced another wall. In future I would insist on a room with some sort of view.

Wonderful base for a weeklong holidayPosted Jun 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
We loved the room which looked over the most attractive atrium, with its jungle, ponds and waterfalls, and goldfish. The public rooms looked over a lovely view out to sea. A big bedroom and bathroom, with a very comfortable bed. Being right on the promenade, it was very handly for views, public transport (horse tram and buses). The room was a little too warm, but we found the fan kept it reasonably cool.

Great HotelPosted May 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed here on business for two nights. The breakfast and the service was good. Having your own balcony overlooking the atrium gives the hotel a medeteranian feel no matter what the weather is like outside.
