“Great bed and breakfast”
This is located next to a beautiful church and walking distance from the town center.
“Not a bed and breakfast”
This was listed as a bed and breakfast when we booked and the website. said, "Breakfast will be cooked to your own personal requirements and served to you in our bright and spacious atrium." When we arrived and asked about the breakfast we were told that that wasn't included any more. He offered to provide a continental breakfast for four pounds, but discouraged that by saying you can find a breakfast nearby for less than three pounds. I could find no place serving any breakfast at anytime within walking distance. The most notable thing about the location was the huge sign hanging on the fence saying, "Hotel for sale." The room was OK. The bathroom nice. The remote control for the TV didn't work. Adequate closet space. No problem with the parking for us.
“Friendly staff”
This hotel isn't bad for the price. The owners were away when I stayed, but the staff I met were very friendly and helpful. I had a nice double room. Unfortunately it was at the top of the building - oh the stairs! - but I did get help with my luggage. The bed linen was extremely worn but it was clean. I picked this hotel because I needed to use the internet, but it wasn't working, which was a real nuisance. I think this has been a issue before, so perhaps it would be more helpful not to state in the description that it's available, if it's unreliable? It's near the town centre, which is useful.
