very friendly and helpfull staff. warm and comfortable rooms.breakfast and dinner exellent. would highly reccomend for a short break.

“Lovely weekend break”

A brilliant relaxing stay in beautiful Victorian hotel. The rooms and the balconies are wonderful and the views just spectacular. Staff incredibly friendly and efficient, food a good standard, great choice of wines.

“Great stay!”

It was a lovely one night break away. The hotel staff looked after us well and the breakfast was good. The location of the hotel was very good for exploring Ventnor and the views from our room of the sea were stunning! I think falling asleep to the sound of the waves was definately the highlight! The bed was slightly uncomfortable but that was a very minor thing. Overall a fantastic place to stay.

The staff on reception and in the restaurant were extremely pleasant and helpful, and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere, but totally professional attitude all round. The dinner was well cooked and presented in an attractive way, though the portion was rather limited. Without ordering extra sides, it would not have been sufficient. Breakfast was good and plentiful of all the basic ingredients that make for a pleasing start to the day. The winning feature of this hotel is the direct steps pathway down to the beach front - very steep to come back up, but what's the rush! I would definitely stay again.

“Wonderful view let down by the Breakfast.”

Our room had a superb view with a lovely balcony. The room was clean and comfortable but the remote did not work and they were a little stingy on the tea and coffee. The breakfast was unremarkable. Although breakfast was until 10am they were already setting up for Dinner at 9am making us feel we were late and should hurry.
