“Excellent location, very friendly staff”

A really pleasant place to stay, great location and an interesting building with ancient Roman ruins in the breakfast room. Right in the middle of Sultamahmet, and many good places to eat and drink nearby.

“Unsurpassed service”

Lovely Hotel with unsurpassed service. Nothing too much bother. Rooms excellent and 24x7 free wi-fi in reception. Lovely touch in the afternoon's was the free offer of pastries tea/coffee and light refreshment. Hotel only a 15 min walk to the Blue Mosque and the main tourist area. Walk takes you past some shops/cafe's and a beautiful bazaar. All in all a hotel worth staying at. Highly recommended.

“Great hotel, great staff, lovely room”

I highly recommend the Hotel Acra. Although we didn't arrive until 4.30am in the morning we were greeted very warmly by Hassan the night manager and his assistant who showed us to our room. The room was extrememly clean and very comfortable with tea and coffee facilities, mini bar, safe and a television. There was an extensive choice for the breakfast which was included in the room price and all the waiters were very accommodating, even though we had arrived after breakfast had finished. There was also tea, coffee and cakes served in the afternoon in the foyer of the hotel. All the hotel staff were very helpful with any questions we had and i would highly recommed the hotel to anyone staying in Istanbul.

“An excellent small hotel conveniently located”

We stayed at the Acra Hotel for five nights in May 2011. The hotel is perfectly located to visit the main sights in Istanbul and there are a good selection of reasonably priced restaurants nearby. The hotel was clean, well maintained and the staff weer extremely helpful. A good selection of freshly prepared food was available for breakfast everyday and the dining room is light and spacious arranged arround ancient ruins. Highly recomended.

“A wonderful time”

We loved the hotel and would not hesitate to reccomend it. It is well sited with lots of places to eat nearby. The staff were extremely helpful and we want to say thank you in particular to the young man (name unknown) who assisted in changing the tyre of the car that took us back to the airport. We were getting very stressed as we were sure that we would miss our flight- but we made it on time!

“Great Hotel for a long weekend break in Istanbul”

We really liked the Acra. The rooms are spacious, modern, comfortable, quiet and excellent value for money. The breakfast area is amazing (built around ancient walls) and the breakfasts were very good too. The best thing about the hotel is its location, quietly tucked away just adjacent to a bustling atmospheric cobble street area full of restaurants and bars. Its also within walking distance of several major attractions (Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern) and nearby is a busy main shopping street with the Grand Bazzar not far away. From the tram stop on the shopping street you can get to just about any part of the city easily and cheaply. Great for a long weekend break!

“A little slice of perfection in Sultanahmet”

The Accra lived up to all the amazing reviews I read on Expedia. The staff were friendly and helpful, we got a welcome drink on arrival and also a map and some information about the local area. The room was a good size and the shower was a decent one, no little pathetic trickle of water like you get in some hotels. The breakfast was excellent, the free hot drinks and cakes available in the lobby in the afternoons was a lovely gesture and the location of the hotel could not be beaten. It's a lovely quiet street, but on the other hand, you are very close to the main attractions and also to some great restaurants. If I return to Istanbul, which certainly seems likely, as I loved the place, I would definitely stay here again.

“Acra Hotel - superb accommodations!”

Excellent breakfast provided with stay. Friendly, accommodating staff willing to assist with any request. Great location near all of the historic sites. Very lovely place - we would definitely recommend Acra Hotel to couples and families traveling to Istanbul!!
