Pros: Very tidy.
Location: Off the main road, tucked away.
A very good mid priced guest house. The owner/manager spoke good English and was very helpfull, organising airport travel and general info. Good location for exploring. To get the most out of this hotel you have to be fit and able bodied. The small lanes and slopes are tricky, as Istanbul is built on a very steep hill. Good restaurants and local cafes (you may need to speak Turkish, when off the main roads). We paid extra for a room with a veiw, it was worth it. A fabulous aspect of The Marmara Sea. Beware of salemen and restaurant workers trying to get you into there shops, they are very pushy and persistent (just ignore them). It was a good break.

Nice people, nice terracePosted Nov 5, 2012
Pros: View of the terrace
Cons: The Mosque in front went off at 5:30am - take earplugs!
Location: Great location, close to the main areas
Nice people at the hotel, very helpful and friendly and the view from the terrace during breakfast is very nice.

a comfortable stay near the main sightsPosted Oct 5, 2011 on Hotels.com
This family run hotel may not be the Ritz, but if you want a great location, personable service and a fabalous view from their 5th floor dining area then hotel Adda is a good bet if somewhat pricey.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Ada hotel, great homely feel with all the mod cons. Great size room with the comfy bed and pillows, aircon, jacuzzi, tele and a room safe. Would definetly return for a longer stay. HIghly recommended.

Loved the AdaPosted Sep 29, 2010
The small Ada Hotel in Istanbul was just what we were looking for. Friendly and helpful owners, fabulous views, a very comfortable room and lovely service. Breakfast is served on a rooftop terrace with views of the old city and the sea of Marmara. The huge selection of breakfast food was delicious. The hotel is located on a side street close to all the major sites in the old city, but quieter than many hotels. We booked a larger room with a sea view, and did not regret it. We loved the Ada.

We had a 2 night reservation but we arrived at 7 am. The doors were closed and we had to call the owner on his cell phone posted at the door. The regular phone number was for the hotel and no one answered. Not a good start but from here on everything was excellent. The owner/manager is very helpful. He runs almost the entire business. We were offered breakfast for our early arrival and were give our rooms early without any fuss. The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a room reserved for 3 people and instead of my 18 year old sleeping on the sofa-bed, the owner gave us the adjacent room that was available at no extra charge. The breakfast was excellent. The staff kept food around all day for late arrivals. Dining room on the roof with beautiful views, very low key but elegant. I will stay at the same place if I go to Istanbul again.
