“We had a Great Time!”

Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful views from the panoramic and roof restaurants. Great location. Good, comfortable hotel - my only small criticism is that more cupboard/drawers needed for two people staying in the room for more than 2 nights - but it wouldn't stop me returning!

“Excellent service, location and view”

The service, especially from reception, was always friendly and helpful, our room was upgraded to a lovely corner room with a king bed and the rooftop restaurant had excellent views (we ate there nearly every night!). The location was also ideal, within walking distance of several of the main sights and bars, cafes and restaurants. The only slight criticism would be with the breakfast which would benefit from fresh fruit juice, healthier cereals and refilling empty dishes, but there is so much to eat everywhere else in Istanbul that this was never a problem. We would be very happy to stay here again and would recommend it as an excellent, value-for-money hotel in the perfect location.

Rooms fresh and clean. Bathroom small,one person at a time. All staff young,capable and very helpful. Food good but drink in restaurant is over priced. Handy to all main sights and the many parks nearby. In a safe and friendly area with a police station at the bottom of street. People come from other places to eat in the restaurant on the roof terrace and take in the magnificent views.

“Location,Location,Location!”

Booked this hotel on the strength of the expedia hotel reviews.Not disappointed.Location is pretty much unbelievable-just 2min walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia,40 seconds to the Yerebetan(underground)Cistern and a 7 min (leisurely) walk to the Grand Bazaar.Restaurants are numerous and situated all around the hotel in the surrounding streets. The staff were welcoming,and very helpful,with travel info and advice.The rooms were very clean and modern.Travelled with my wife for a short 4 day city break.Given a large family room on the 1st night and then the next 3 nights were a larger then standard double room(we were given a choice).And then there is the rooftop "panoramic" restuarant.Lovely views of the above sights and the Bopshorus.Nice food as well.Free internet use also.Is it really 3.5 stars?.In terms of service,product,location this should be 4 to 4.5 stars at least!

“Deserves to be recommended...”

My sister and I spent a week staying at the Adamar Hotel in Sultanahmet, Istanbul. We had a wonderful trip, made all the more pleasurable because our accommodation was so good. The Hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of famous sights, enjoyable restaurants and a useful tram-stop! The building has recently been refurbished; it is well-kept and inviting. The staff are professional, friendly and make every effort to answer any questions posed to them. The Hotel offers free Internet access too, which was an unexpected bonus. Admittedly, our room was quite small, but very clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast is served in the Restaurant on the sixth floor, which really does have amazing views of the surrounding area. We would happily return to the Adamar Hotel and recommend it to others.

“Good location, awesome roof deck, good service”

The stay at the Adamar Hotel was quite pleasant. It is close to most touristic sites, as well as trolley. My friend and I easily found our way around. The staff is friendly. The hotel has a nice roof deck, which offers fantastic views of Mosques and Istanbul in general.

“Great stay at the Hotel Adamar”

We have just arrived back from Istanbul after an 8 day stay at the hotel Adamar.(Early March). The hotel is very conveniently located just a very short step away from all the major historic sites of the old town, in fact the restaurant at the top of the building (where a wonderful breakfast is also served)has the most magnificent uniterrupted views of the Blue Mosque, Sophia Hagia, Topkapi Palace, the Marmara sea, The Golden Horn and the Bosphorus! It couldn't be better-there is something interesting to see from every window! Sometimes you get to a place/hotel having learned everything you can from the internet and think-well next time we go we'll book in this or that hotel instead-but I would stay here again anytime. The hotel has wonderful friendly staff, the hotel and rooms are in great condition. Only 25 rooms over 5 floors with a lift. Nice bathrooms, firm mattresses and is clean, bright and cheerful. Well done Adamar and thank you all!

“Bijou hotel in a perfect location with brilliant staff”

This hotel is in a perfect location for a tourist. It has a small reception and bar area, four floors above with five rooms each and four floors, a restaurant on the sixth floor and a roof terrace. Our double room was small but well designed with a small wardrobe, safe and mini-bar. The ensuite bathroom had no bath, but had a good shower. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen of good quality. The whole hotel was well kept. Buffet breakfast in the restaurant had a good variety of Turkish fare. The view from the restaurant and the roof terrace could not be bettered. Apart from the view the outstanding thing about this hotel is the staff. Every staff member whom we met was friendly, cheerful, and helpful. The receptionists were the best that I have ever encountered, from calling taxis and making reservations for us to giving information and advice, they excelled.

“A really good hotel that's close to all the famous sights”

This hotel is fantastically situated very close to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the Bazaars. It is very easy to get to from the airport using the metro from Ataturk Airport, change at Zeytinburnu and get onto the tram. Get off at Sultanahmet and it is a short walk to the hotel. The Yerbetan Cistern is on the same road and is a must to visit. On arrival at the hotel, we were greeted with a lovely fresh glass of fruit juice. We had a spacious and comfortable room. The hotel restaurant has absolutely panoramic fabulous views, so you must eat at least one meal there. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, all of whom spoke extremely good English. They helped us with arranging tours, taxis and how to get around Istanbul.

Hotel is so near to the main attractions and the staff so helpful and friendly. Breakfast on the roof terrace was fabulous. The only thing that let us down was the booked car to take us to the airport, it turned up late and we only had 20 mins to check in before closing. The man on the front desk was very helpful and booked us in on line. It was cheaper to get a taxi about 35tl
