“Alittle gem in the heart of Sultanamet, would definitely stay again”

Great little hotel which is ideally situated in Sultanamet, in the shadows of the Blue Mosque. Offers excellent value for money and very comfortable, clean rooms. The breakfast there was excellent, the best I've every had in Turkey, a really wide selection. Stayed for three nights and found all the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated very close to the railway, I don't thnk the trains must run all night, or if they did it was a limited service, as we were not disturbed by them at all. (Lighter sleeper may of course). They only other thing was that Tea Making sachets were not replenished neither were the bathroom cosmetics, but the staff soon supplied us with more than enough on asking. We would certainly use this lovely little hotel again.

Enjoyed Turkey and the hotel. Location was within walking distance. Hospitality of staff was wonderful. Very accomodating and friendly host. Will definitely return to Almina.

“Excellent boutique hotel choice”

We were very pleased with this small boutique hotel centrally located in the historical part of Sultanhamet. Hotel and staff met our expectations. Great place to stay if you want to walk to all the historical sites with plenty of great resturants close by. We would stay here again and recommend it to our friends.

“Istanbul 2010”

The hotel is located within a small side street off a main road. When we first arrived we were like "where is it?" Little did we know it was staring us in the face! It is a blink and you'll miss it hotel! Guys at reception were GREAT. They were very helpful and polite and always asked if we wanted soft drinks on the house. The rooms are clean, fairly standard in size and well looked after. We paid a little extra to be in the SUPERIOR double room. I STRONGLY SUGGEST you do the same if going as a couple or family. If you're not fussed (and don't mind having NO WINDOWS), then the economy rooms in the basement could suit your needs. By far the BEST hotel for location and comfort. We were approximately 5minutes walk from Sultan Ahmet Square. Having visited most of the sites out there, I can honestly say we were in the BEST area. A little pricey (Probably the same as Central London) but I guess you’ll be going there for the experience. The only thing that let the hotel down was a TRAIN TRACK running literally a couple of hundred yards away from the side of hotel. That was a real bummer. However, I can’t recommend this hotel enough! If you’re going to Istanbul and are looking at this price range then choose ALMINA HOTEL, forget the others.

“Almina Hotel”

Almina is a very quaint hotel located in an attractive part of Sultanhamet. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. The room was small but had everything required. The continental breakfast was fine although the dining area was a little cramped and the food was not replenshised quickly enough during busy period. The only downside to the hotel is that is it right next to a fairly busy train line; the noise from which is so loud it almost made the room shake.
