Finding History and the Roman ConstantinoplePosted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Near the centre
Cons: For the price and i'ts position , not a lot.
Location: Take the airport bus to City about £1 beware of Taxi drivers who charges about £30 from there to hotel. Get excellent tram service £1.50 then taxi.
Excellent position for walk uphill to old city and easy walk back . No need for Taxis. Terrace with good sea view. Cook will do you fried eggs for breakfast if you ask . very happy with my week stay

Nice StayPosted Jun 7, 2014
Cons: - Street side windows should be closed properly and if they could be sound-proof would be great - The toilet's eluate should be pointing upwards
Location: The nearest Tram station is Sultan Ahmet (Ahmed) but it still around 10-min walk over "ups/downs" streets. It was very good sport!
It was a great stay. Almina Hotel is an excellent value for money. People were very helpful indeed. Breakfast was simple but fair enough. I really enjoyed staying at Almina Hotel. I totally recommend it. A small comment on it though, I was staying at room 205, the windows are not sound proof or may be not closed properly, street noise of passing cars/people shouting or so, could be irritating but it was tolerable. They can fix that for you!

Lovely central hotel with fabulous staff!Posted Jan 6, 2014
Pros: The location.The staff, everything
Cons: Slightly bigger rooms. There is a train track that goes along the back of the hotel but its not very noticeable if you close your windows.
Location: All the old Mosques are nerby, lots of places to eat and shop.
The Hotel was minutes away from the Blue Mosque, Haga Sofia, Top Kapi. The breakfast was varied, with some Turkish items as well as fruit and fresh bread. If you don't notice it, there is a lovely terrace on the roof to eat breakfast. The kids were happy and the staff always interacting with them. All in all an amazing hotel in an amazing place. Will be going back for sure!

Excellent hotel, close to attractions & shopsPosted Nov 3, 2013
Pros: Staff friendliness, close to attractions, facilities at the hotel.
Cons: We went during autumn, it was not very hot. But the air conditioning unit could have been a little more efficient. But it was not a big problem.
Location: Arasta bazaar, few restaurants, grocery shops, Blue mosque within 10 minutes.
Great hotel, pleasing in every way. At first I thought it will be in a quite place far from attractions. But I was proven wrong. Arasta bazaar was very closeby with few restaurants. Staff were very friendly, especially receptionist called Mr Mehmet and the kitchen staff, nothing asked was like any extra burden. In all, glad we chose this hotel, and thanks to Expedia for arranging everything. We had three beds, perfect for our children and us.

Convenient locationPosted Oct 21, 2013
The hotel is conveniently located close to the Sultanahmet sights, but away from the hustle and bustle on a quiet street. This makes the hotel a bit difficult to find at first. The room itself was fine. Fairly basic, but clean, modern and it did the trick. The same can be said about the breakfast. Pleasant enough, but not remarkable. There were no English-language TV channels, but this was not important to us and the wifi worked well. If the weather is good enough (it was pouring down with rain for most of our stay), the hotel's roof top terrace offers stunning views of the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus.

One night visitPosted Oct 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was clean, very convenient location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small and the hotel was difficult to find for several taxi drivers.

very helpful servicePosted Sep 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
We checked in at about 9am, expecting to have to wait until the afternoon to occupy the room. But the very nice woman at the reception desk immediately offered us not only the room, but breakfast as well. Throughout our short stay, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. There are many hotels in the well-located Sultanhamed area, but I would certainly return to the Almina.
