AND Hotel in IstanbulPosted Apr 20, 2012 on Hotels.com
Great location in Sultanahmet. Our room had a great view of the Hagia Sophia. The staff were very helpful. The room, though small, was impeccably clean.

Location, location, location!Posted Apr 10, 2012
Pros: The fantastic location and helpful staff.
Cons: The smell of my room - musty stale smoke but after a day you couldn't smell it.
Location: You could not ask for a better location to all the key sites in Istanbul.
I had a great stay at the And Hotel. The hotel is in a fantastic location in Sultanahmet near all the main sites including the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofya . I was able to walk to most places and rarely used public transport or taxis. The staff were really helpful and attentive. It was my first visit to Istanbul and I was travelling alone and they made me feel very at home and comfortable. When I arrived I wasn't happy with my room. I'd booked a standard single room and it was so small I couldn't open my suitcase! I spoke to the hotel manager and he moved me to a bigger room at no extra charge. I lost my view (the hotel has incrediable views) but I had more space. I would highly recommend the And Hotel, it's great value for money. I would certainly stay again.

Not a good choice at all.Posted Jan 23, 2012 on Hotels.com
The rooms are in horrible condition and are dirty. The rooms do not fit the descriptions given on Hotels.com. So what they call a room with "two king beds" actually has two single (yes, not even double) beds. The rooms are extremely small, smaller than the small hotel rooms of Japan, which is famous for its small rooms. There is not a bathtub, nor is there a coffee maker, etc., all things that you would expect from a decent hotel in North America. I've been to many hotels in both N. America and in Turkey, as well as all across the world, and I can safely say that this was by far the worst one. Also, the hotel manager will try to put you in a less quality room than what you reserved, i.e. even if you had paid a bit higher to get into a better room (though don't expect much from their better rooms, either). Initially, they gave us a room with a single single bed, even though we had reserved a room with two king beds. They later accepted to move us to a room with two beds, but both beds were single. The only thing good about this hotel is its location; it is very close to Sultan Ahmet (Blue Mosque) and Hagia Sophia. But you cannot enter that area by cab anyway (according to the law); so you might as well want to stay elsewhere, or otherwise, risk walking about 500 meters (or more) to get your luggage in the hotel. The hotel staff were nice enough though, even though their system is incapable of locating a reservation or the type of the reservation.

And Hotel Istanbul Very Pleasant ExperiencePosted Jan 6, 2012 on Hotels.com
This was my second visit to Turkey. I went to several cities in these trips and stayed in many hotels. This by far was the best overall hotel I stayed in Turkey. We reserved 4 rooms since we had a large group with us. The location, service, staff and the cleanliness all were outstanding. Obviously the rooms were smaller and the price was much higher as compared US hotels but comparing all other hotels I stayed in Turkey and Europe, this was an excellent hotel in over all rating. Will definitely stay again in the same hotel during my next trip to Istanbul

And Hotel Istanbul in historic districtPosted Nov 23, 2011 on Hotels.com
A nice boutique hotel in the historic district within easy walking distance of all the major tourist sites. The view from the hotel rooftop terrace is beautiful. My room was small, as many European rooms are, but clean. The bathroom was clean and large enough. All the staff were pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful - Telling me about Istanbul and explaining how to get to various sites. I would recommend this hotel to others and would stay there again myself.

Good hotel in a good spotPosted Oct 12, 2011
We had a great room at the front of the hotel with a view of the Mosque. The breakfast was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is very close to many of the attractions, restaurants, shopping and the tram so it is easy to get around. We enjoyed our stay here,
