“A Great Small Hotel”
Angel's Home is really a nice, convenient place in the heart of old Istanbul. It was a very quiet neighborhood, and except for the early morning call to prayer it was quiet in the hotel. After visiting other districts in Istanbul I'm glad we stayed at the Angel's Home. The staff could not have been more helpful, and the room was quite large by European standards. There is no elevator and the lights in the hallway are on motion detectors so it sometimes got dark unless you kept moving. Staying at small hotels has always appealed to us, and the Angel's Home is as good or better as any other we have stayed in.
“Fantastic”
With a superb location, great hosts, and an amazing car for the hotel trips - we would definately go back. Very close to the old city, just a few steps from the Blue Mosque, and the most helpful borthers who run the place in a friendly mad way. Just sit on the roof garden and enjoy.
“Lovely hotel in wonderful city”
Very friendly hotel with charming atmosphere perfectly matching Istanbul itself. Great location in central area being rapidly revamped, very close to the Agia Sofia and Blue Mosque (fantastic sunset views of BM from roof terrace), and close to lots of good value and enjoyable eating places. We particularly liked the Turquoise Restaurant, just round a couple of corners. We are fairly well travelled but did not know what to expect of Istanbul. It turned out to be one of best cities we have visited, and we would certainly visit again - and stay at Angel's Home.
“Nice Small Hotel like Home”
We were pleased to live in the hotel for three nights. Acoomadation facilities are adequate, such as TV, safe, frige, shower. The rooms are clean. All towels and sheets are pure white. Breakfests are excellent. Service people are very friendly. Only weak point is one PC is shared and its internet speed is very slow.
“Will stay again”
The hotel is in a great location - it was easy to walk to all the major sites. The extras suchas tea/coffee making facilities and internet access were appreciated. We were able to check in online for our return flight and the hotel staff printed our boarding passes.
“Unique and individual”
Lovely hotel. Friendly helpful service. Splendid choice for breakfast. Very quiet location in spite of being within 200 yards of the Blue Mosque. You needed to be an acrobat to get in and out of the shower, but this in no way impaired the enjoyment of our stay.
“A very pleasant base to explore the sights”
I would definitely recommend this hotel. It's located within a few mintes walk of the Blue Mosque etc. It even has a view of said mosque, as well as of the Bosphorus, from the hotel roof terrace restaurant. There were two resident kittens when I stayed there (late August 2005) which were very friendly. (Some might find them too friendly, since they are very keen to explore the rooms!). The only down side to my stay was that the shower in the ensuite bathroom could have been cleaner.
“An Excellent Hotel”
This is an excellent hotel. It is located conveniently in the heart of the old city. Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia just hundreds of meters away. The room is comfortable, staff are very friendly and are always ready to help the guests. What impressed me the most is what you see in the photo is what you get. A very good deal indeed.
“A Turkish delight!”
An overall enjoyable experience. Excellent location. The hotel offered all that we would wish for at the price we paid.Comfortable and QUIET.Staff attentive and pleasant. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Even the local carpet sellers are entertaining and amusing!!!
“Better than 3 star, Great value for money”
We travel often and been to many hotels in US and Europe. Angles Place is in a great location, near all the sites. It's marked as a 3 star but has many amenities of higher star hotels like bath robes, slippers, towel heater, free internet, etc... Breakfast and terrace view was great. Room was clean and quite, overall a great value.
