“Good place to stay”

The location is ok, you do have to climb up to the top of Sultanahmet to see the sites and then come back down again. I was a bit worried about the noise from the street and sometimes they hold events at the hotel but it does eventually die down and we were able to sleep comfortably. We tried to use a taxi to and fro the hotel, but they try and rip you off. The best mode of transport was from the nearby railway station. Breakfast was very good but don't leave your plate unattended otherwise the staff think you have finished and take it away. There is a beautiful view across the Maramara sea from the restaurant. A good restaurant for dinner is hard to find if you decide to wander out, but you can go on the train to Kumkapi where there quite a few. The turtles in the fountain at reception were a nice added touch. The staff were always friendly helpful and courteous. Definitely worth staying here.

“Sumptuous breakfast with fabulous view”

Our room at the Armada was slightly smaller than we had expected from the photographs on their website, but it was very comfortable, clean and efficiently maintained. The view from our room was excellent, and the location of the hotel is perfect for wandering around the Old City. The breakfasts which were served on their roof terrace with a view of the Blue Mosque and St. Sophia were also excellent. I have already recommended the Armada to several friends.

“Really Good Turkish Hotel”

Having been over 20 times to Istanbul this is the best traditional turkish hotel I have been to. Situaton is terrfic with Blue Mosque on one side and the Bosphorous on the other both visible from the restaurant. Nice comfortable rooms excellant food friendly helpful staff. Everything you need from Hotel. Great base for a visit to a great City.

“A Brilliant Hotel”

Very efficient, very friendly and very comfortable. It would be hard to find a better hotel at the price in Istanbul. Close to the main sights, yet cool and relaxing after a hard day's exploring. Terrace restaurant has astonishing views over the city and the sea. Its food is perhaps a little over-rated. Though don't miss the sumptuous breakfasts.

“Great Hotel with dedicated staff”

The hotel is in the best location if you really want to be near the water front but not right next to it. It takes just a road or two to cross and you are in front of the Black sea. If you are fond of walking and sight-seeing the hotel is just about 15 minutes from all the major places of attraction. The hotel is well-maintained and rooms very comfortable indeed. Staff are excellent and totally devouted and polite and the breakfast room on the Trace overlooing the Black sea a MUST. You will have a great time in this hotel and very fine memories of Istanbul and the people there. I can not waite to go back......

“Quaint and charming!”

A nice little hotel with a good location and view. Great buffet breakfast with Turkish delights and a great view from the roof restaurant. The indoor restaurant is glass enclosed and had wonderful food. The only complaint was that on Friday night there was a lot of noise coming from somewhere. I sounded like a party in a bar and went on quite late. I would stay there again if I ever go back to Istanbul

“Lovely Turkish hotel in Old City”

Have stayed in some splendid hotels in Istanbul but I loved this little hotel -- my room had a view of the Bosphorus, the decor is tradition but up to date, the bed was beautiful and pillow and comforter fluffy and new, and the rooftop terrace is the most spectacular you can imagine -- the most romantic dinner with a view of the Blue Mosque and Bosphorus, good food, and again for a splendid Turkish breakfast with a huge variety of foods. To get the water view, I paid a little more for a junior suite, so some may not have that view -- just spend your time on the terrace upstairs and all will be well. It is a 15 walk up to the Blue Mosque, through interesting little streets, and the hotel is nice and quiet since it is one street in from the main perimeter road, inside the old walls. I would not stay in the far-away hotel zone again if I could avoid it.

An excellent hotel, clean and very comfortable where you breakfast on the roof terrace in the sun and dine there at night - overlooking the Bosphorous and the Blue Mosque. All major sights to explore within comfortable walking distance. Perfect!

“Great hotel”

This hotel is in a great location for all the main sights of the old town - only 10 mins walk or so away. The roof terrace has a beautiful view of the Blue Mosque and the ocean. The breakfast (included) was delicious, traditional Turkish food. Room was a good size, very clean, comfy bed, etc.
