Nice hotel beautiful view from roof

Posted May 15, 2014
This was a lovely hotel, great location, excellent staff. A bit noisy if you like your windows open. The restaurant is lovely maybe a bit pricey but portions are very large. Rooms are comfortable, great sheets and pillows but bring your own shampoo and stuff although it is provided on request. Very well situated. We really enjoyed our stay

Nice small hotel close to main attractions

Posted Apr 20, 2014
The breakfast is the stand out attraction of this hotel. Locals come in on the weekends to enjoy the buffet. You can walk to all the main attractions although it is slightly further than the other hotels on the main tourist street. This means, however, a quieter location. There are currently renovations going on so hotel wasn't up to its usual standard re state of communal areas.

Brilliant Introduction to Istanbul

Posted Apr 3, 2014
20 minutes walk from Sultanhamet Square (but it is uphill) and 15 mins.from a vast selection of resteraunts. The Armada has spectacular viws of the Blue mosque and Marmaras sea over the old city walls.

So lucky to find this hotel

Posted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: Atmosphere, comfort, cleanliness, friendly helpful staff.Great location.
Cons: If they could find room on the heaving breakfast table - jam would be nice.
Location: Turn left to walk 10 minutes max to Sultanahmed (Blue) Mosque and main square at Aya Sophya. Turn right to explore alleys and old timber buildings
From start to finish, the staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. Rooms better than basic budget, and comfortable. Lovely atmosphere to the place. Superb breakfast. Dining room views incredible, even enjoyed dolphin watch at breakfast. All the old town must sees and tram routes within easy walking distance. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel in Old City Istanbul

Posted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: The hotel staff members were wonderful, helpful, friendly. And the hotel restaurant was very good. View of Asia from the terrace was a real plus.
Location: The location offers easy access to most of old Istanbul's most famous sites.
The Armada is conveniently located for walking to most of the tourist sites in the old section of Istanbul: Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace. Taxi service for longer trips to and from the hotel was very good.

When in Istanbul do as the Turkish

Posted Feb 19, 2014
Why visit another country and not partake in it? This is an elegant and traditional family-run Turkish hotel encompassing the best of Turkish hospitality and generosity. The rooms are well designed with all the luxuries one would expect; the restaurant terraces overlook the most famous tourist icons in the city; the breakfast is fit for kings; the staff is friendly but reserved, courteous and generous: at what other hotel could your friend who did not stay there, enjoy breakfast with you without being charged? Immerse yourselves in the Turkish experience!

Great location, superb value for money

Posted Jan 28, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Can't think of anything off the top of my head
Location: Couldn't be better - within easy walking distance of some of the main sights, restaurants and shops, but far enough away to be quiet
From the moment we arrived the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms are of a high spec, clean and functional. The views from the breakfast room are amazing, and the breakfast is better than many high class hotels I have stayed in.

Why u should not go to Armada...

Posted Jan 19, 2014
Seaview room only had view of old wall around Istanbul. Buffet breakfast abysmal. Lobby dreary. Reception staff mostly hiding. View of dilapidated housing from the back of the hotel. Stay at the Citadel. Cosy. Excellent seaview. Breakfast fabulous. Staff most helpful. All round far superior to smelly Armada....

Central, great views from rooftop

Posted Jan 9, 2014
Pros: Centrally located; the great views from the rooftop terrace; the breakfast buffet
Cons: Offer better quality shampoo
Location: In the heart of Sultahnamet: the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, the Topkapi palace, the Cistern, the Grand Bazaar, walks by the sea of Marmara,
