Staff were rude on arrival. The photos and description on the Expedia website were misleading. No working wifi. The reception area was dirty. The room was dusty. Staff could not find remote for Air Conditioning, temperature was 35C degree; eventually managed to find it. TV did not have a remote so did not work. The toilet bowl moves every time you sit on it. It was so close to the wall you had to sit sideways. No toilet roll holder. No shelves in shower for soap or shower gel. Bathroom floor and shower looked like they were never cleaned; looked grimy. Room floor was never cleaned. Will never stay there again.

The room were very dusty and dirty.Hair and rubbish everywhere.They didn’t clean our room evening after requesting .Staff were very rude and threatening.Felt very unsafe .Never to go back in that place again.It was horrific !!!! The picture of the place on the web are different to what we got.Breakfast is on ground floor not what picture are showing .Never to recommend to person or animal!!

This place is just pictures. It’s disgusting inside we found a dirty sock in the air conditioning. The room was disgusting even someone homeless won’t stay there

They are just crooks will lie you in second, there is no parking find yourself, when i paid they gave me room underground that you can't breath. We reserved up floors before payment front dest saud yes for all questions after payment turned 360°. We all left hotel to different. These crooks doesn't refunded my money.

Stayed in the basement. Water damage on the baseboards. Bed was broken so it sloped on one side. Laundry service messed up some of my clothes. Front desk does a pretty good job. And room service comes about every other day.

This hotel wasnt my first choice but was given to me by expedia as the one i booked failed to meet the standards and was a catfish experience. Thanks to expedia who managed to reserve me 4 rooms on a short notice in Istanbul. We were 12 family members with my father in wheelchair we relocated to this hotel at midnight and the reception named Rashad and Mehmet made our stay very pleasant, they were very helpful throughout our 4 nights stay, they were friendly and spoke fairly good english to which we managed to plan our visits via the hotel at a reasonable price. About the rooms, they are fairly good, had a bosporus view with a small balcony, fridge freezer and tv and were cleaned daily. The hotel is situated on a hillside so with my elderly parents it was a bit difficult to push around so we had to get taxi and minibus hire, this was arranged by hotel staff at a fair price (unlike some hotels). There is breakfast arranged by hotel but its situated to the opposite building, not the best but it gets you fuelled up on a morning. Overall I must say the whole experience of staying at this hotel was very good through the pleasantness of the staff like Rashad and Mehmet. Thanks

It seems there are two hotels combined into one, so I booked at the art city but was given a room next door. The reception was unwilling to answer questions or offer support. It was a good thing the workers were helpful which some what compensates. The room looked like it was finished by a handyman, not professional. The price is good and the location is close to the historical attractions, unfortunately there are small dark roads to get there if walking back after a late night, migh not be the safest for some.

The bed was comfortable. But the property was built to be a motel. No amenities, no quick shop (water, snacks). Hotel room had no windows. Staff came around past mid night and did work in the hallway, super loud.

The only good thing is the location. The room was far away from pictures on internet (and we had a "better" room), the breakfast is in the hotel on the other side of the street and is terrible, the staff was almost unfriendly, in the room is an empty refirigerator, not "mini bar" .... and finally cleanliness....no comment. I don't recommend this hotel.

First thing first, the room that I booked wasn't available, they offer me a "room" that was an ex-garage transformed by them in room. The second thing, I paid them 45 euro for private transfer to airport...Guess what, on the way to airport the driver stopped at a hotel and picked-up a couple that paid 20 euro for same trip, I tried to explain to the driver that I paid 45 euro for private transfer("I don't speak English" was the driver answer) The third thing, the bed linen was very dirty. In the restaurants, the waiters are very greedy, if you don't pay attention, they will extra charge you. Conclusion, I'll never travel again to Turkey

The staff were friendly and helpful, but for three reasons, I can't recommend this hotel. The worst was the poor housekeeping. I stayed a week, and the sheets were never changed once. Also, two glasses provided, that I used the first night, sat for six days in plain view with wine stains on the bottom before being changed. Coffee rings on the desk and bedside table were never cleaned. Also, the paper thin walls of the hotel are ideal if you enjoy listening to every word of the other squabbling, blabbering and yakking guests. One more thing to be aware of, that isn't the fault of the hotel, is that Istanbul is a very hilly city. A main commercial street, near many of the main attractions, where you will want to spend much of your time, is Divan Yolu. Be aware that what appears to be a short walk from your hotel to this street is in fact an exhausting short walk up very steeply inclined narrow cobblestone streets where you'll be dodging cars. Downhill it's uncomfortably steep too, especially if it's raining and the cobblestones are slippery. My advice is to spend a little more money if necessary and stay in a hotel closer to Divan Yolu. Having said that, I loved Turkey and highly recommend it to anyone who has not been there.

ART CITY HOTEL was very nice , very good Quality of standards, The Receptionist Rashad was very very helpful and very Supportive even he guide us accurately about the city Tour and he goes one step forward to Book our tours and also he gave us discount... VERY ECONOMICAL AND NICE STANDARD HOTEL .....THE LOCATION of the Hotel is in the main city centre of the Sultanhamet area all the other amenities were around...very near to public transport Trams and buses .....shopping area was also very near.......very comfortable place to live..very nice big rooms..sea view rooms.....the kindness and The Hospitality we received was very impressive very cherishing; hospitable reception;staff specially Mr Rashad gave us very v v i p treatment, very elegant meal was also offered. I would be very thankful to the staff..... i would recommend this hotel to every on going to Istanbul turkey... thanks from Aftab & Amin

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We arrived and immediately the hotel manager, Reshad, was very welcoming and friendly and quickly accommodated us all. All the staff were very helpful with all our queries, helping us plan our excursions and recommending some fabulous places to eat. They went above and beyond and even helped to book surprise bday dinners. If you want to stick to a budget with a homely feel, this is the place for you. The hotel is in a central location; very close to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Top Kapi Palace, Ayasofya Hamam and many other highly recommended places to visit. Will definitely be returning Insha’Allah. ☺️☺️😀

When researching for hotel options, I always look into several things, from location, reviews, price, rating, etc. I selected Art City hotel because it had a very good price and the location is convenient, however, I was not quite certain about the amenities because there were mixed comments in the other reviews, so I decided to give it a chance. Allow me to share my views on the place: THE PLUS - Great location: there are nice restaurants around the area, grocery shops, there's also coffee shops. Walking distance (5 min) you can get to the Blue mosque and from there Hagia Sofia and other places. Also, you can get the tram close to the hotel and move to other areas. The location is the highlight of this hotel. - Good service: Rashad was the person in charge of the main counter, he was able to organize pick-up/drop-off at the airport. He was easy to communicate with and he gave us good advice of places to go and things to do. He was willing to help and showed a great attitude towards our group. Price: it was good price for 3 rooms for 4 people, specially because of the location. THE BAD Amenities: No elevator, and being on the 4th floor made it hard to take the luggage. The walls were too thin so you can hear people in the other rooms. I would say the hotel is good cause you get great location for low price, but the rooms are not too fancy if that is what you are looking for. However, the hotel crew will do their best to be nice to you.

The staff had overbooked the room I originally reserved. After discussing, with the staff, they allowed me to stay in a triple suite until the room I reserved became available. To me, this was good customer service. My stay was very nice. This is a very affordable hotel with decent accommodations. It is right by Saltanahmet Square. The only con about this hotel is that it located on a street that is at the base of a very steep hill. You will have to walk up this hill each day in order to reach the main street.
