“Small but nice”
We booked a 'suite' at this hotel, which meant a small alcove and balcony added to a standard room. The room was very well appointed and clean, with a nice comfy bed. But the room was also very small for two people. Not a problem in our case, but travellers should understand this in advance. There was quite a bit of tension on check-in, with a stressed clerk who was dealing with too much at once. She wound up in a heated argument with a dissatisfied client. Nevertheless, after a couple hours wait and a forceful intervention to get some attention of my own, she checked us in a bit early. The breakfast room is very pretty and the food standard. The dining room upstairs is fabulous, with great views, friendly service, pretty good food, and reasonable prices. Best of all, this hotel is in a perfect location for touring on foot in the old town. Everything is minutes away.
