“Small and comfortable hotel "no frïlls" hotel”
This is a nice and comfortable small hotel reasonably close to the main sites at Sultanahmet. Room was clean and spacious although a column was inconveniently located and obstructed circulation near the bed. The hotel only has seven rooms. Public space is minimal, and consequently noise from other guests is minimal.
The Manager Mehmet is an extremely likeable, helpful and pleasant person. As soon as we arrived he gave us a map of the tourist area of istanbul and showed us where to go and how to get there. He impressed us as a very honest and reliable person.
Breakfast is served on the roof top terrace. It is the standard fare typical in Turkey. It was extensive, tasty, and filling.
The only negative, a small one, is that the hotel is some distance from Sultanahmet tram stop if you have to drag luggage. If coming from the airport it is probably best to take a shuttle to the door unless you are young and fit. Otherwise the location is quiet and there are a couple of restaurants nearby.
