Nice little hotel in a quiet neighborhoodPosted Jul 8, 2014
This is a seven room hotel with an attentive and helpful staff. Mehmet was particularly helpful arranging transportation to and from the airport and in presenting tour options and restaurant recommendations. The rooms are typical of Europe and nicely appointed. A very nice hotel that is close to the Arasta bazaar.

Excellent hotel in the heart of SultanahmetPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: We liked its small size, (only seven suites) position, and particularly the helpfulness of the staff.
Cons: Nothing to suggest. The hotel met our needs for a week very well.
Location: There are plenty of restaurants nearby and also the Arasta Bazaar where you can see the very best of Turkey's arts and crafts in a small space
My wife and I found this hotel was a great base for exploring Istanbul for a week. Our second floor room was quite spacious (by Istanbul's tight standards) with 2 small balconies and a clean bathroom. The best things about it were its position, its staff, and its breakfast. The position is between the Blue Mosque and the little Aya Sofia Mosque so most of the sites of Sultanahmet are within easy walking distance. Finding your own way to the hotel the first time could be difficult because the hotel is in a small street and wrongly sited on Googlemaps but we had arranged a transfer from the airport to the hotel so had no problems. The staff, particularly the manager Mehmet, are very friendly and helpful. Mehmet provided valuable advice and suggestions on restaurants and he was also helpful in suggesting how we could use Istanbul's public transport to get to more distant spots. The complimentary breakfast is excellent. It is served on the terrace with great views over the Sea of Marmara and can be enjoyed either at an inside table our outdoors on the deck. We will certainly recommend this small friendly hotel to our friends.

Nice hotel, good locationPosted Jul 5, 2014
Mehmet was incredibly helpful, and the hotel was everything we had hoped for - clean, comfortable, and within easy distance of many of the main sites we wanted to see. The breakfast was delicious, and the roof terrace where we ate it had great views.

Great location!Posted Jun 5, 2014
Pros: The staff were outstanding, including the owner. They personalized your experience. The rooftop terrace was very nice.
Cons: Some parts of the surrounding neighborhood.
Location: The location was perfect for the major sights.
The staff were amazing!!! The location is perfect for the sights. The neighborhood in some areas around the hotel were dilapidated. It is in the old part of Sultanhanmet with cobblestone streets. It is at the bottom of the hill so it can be a little bit of a hike. Same with the roof top terrace for breakfast. It is four flights up, steep stairs. Not all pictures posted on their website are from the hotel. The blue mosque can not be seen from the rooftop terrace. Love the terrace for breakfast. You can see the water and the birds chirping in the trees with the warm sun was great. The cook is constantly cooking up fresh food for breakfast. The owner is always there as well greeting folks and serving tea. He also owns a carpet shop, if you are looking... Have fun whatever you do!

Wonderful staff, good location, fabulous breakfastPosted Apr 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is a perfect boutique hotel to stay in the old city of Istanbul. A short walk to all the main Sultanahmet sites, and the tram stop to take you everywhere else. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, though if you have mobility problems you should mention it to make sure you have an accessible room/bathroom (there is no elevator). The staff and owner are exceptionally friendly, and the breakfast was the best we had in Turkey.

Nice placePosted Mar 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
We got the basement room and while the decor is very average and the window is very high up to actually be able to see outside, the hotel is good. Very helpful staff and good location. this is a very comfortable hotel for the the value.

A cosy gem -- right in the heart of the old cityPosted Feb 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
My husband and I came to Istanbul in order to see the sights, and we could not have found a better place to stay. The hotel was clean, tidy, with excellent service (and staff who spoke English). Breakfast was excellent - and the view of the Sea of Marmara from the breakfast room and our hotel room was delightful. We were only steps from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, etc. We highly recommend!

Clean and cozy hotel at a great pricePosted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: Friendly Staff
Cons: Kind of small
Location: Conveniently located downtown. Be wary of using google maps.
Great staff, clean amenities, convenient location in Old Town Istanbul. Could not ask for a better hotel stay in this price range. Google maps gave incorrect location of hotel but nearby. Had to resort to a different smartphone app map to find actual location. Hotel was difficult to spot from the road.
