Clean and cozy hotel at a great pricePosted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: Friendly Staff
Cons: Kind of small
Location: Conveniently located downtown. Be wary of using google maps.
Great staff, clean amenities, convenient location in Old Town Istanbul. Could not ask for a better hotel stay in this price range. Google maps gave incorrect location of hotel but nearby. Had to resort to a different smartphone app map to find actual location. Hotel was difficult to spot from the road.

Cozy, Quiet Hotel in the old section of IstanbulPosted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: Terrace breakfast from 8:00a-10:00p. The owner sits up there with tea, very affable, and ask about his carpet shop in the Arasta Bazaar.
Cons: Taxis have trouble finding the hotel. It could use a visible sign from the small street.
Location: All the major landmarks of Istanbul are within walking distance. Restaurants, market, very close. Arasta Bazaar is a great place to start shopping.
All staff and receptionists were a great help. Cordial, good English, directions on how to get to the major landmarks (Blue Moque, Aya Sofia, Grand Bazaar, etc), made airport shuttle reservations for us for a 3:30am pickup.

Clean and convenientPosted Jul 4, 2013
Very clean, pleasant and small hotel conveniently located about 5 mins walk from the Blue Mosque. Staff very helpful and friendly and always on hand to answer any questions. Beware though, apparently not accurately placed on google maps and our taxi driver took some time to find it! Would recommend.

Great 5 days in IstanbulPosted Apr 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Excellent location in the old city; short walk away from all the important sights. Comfortable hotel with personal, unobtrusive service; quiet and friendly place to stay. Would not have wanted to stay in any other area of Istanbul: all within walking distance of the mosques, museums and Cavalry Bazaar. Good breakfast and comfortable room, (firm mattress). shower room was small but adequate. Need to be fit enough to climb stairs up to the Terrace. Lovely view across the rooftops to the Bosphorus, where you can drink tea and watch the seagulls building their nests.

Perfect location, perfect service!Posted Jul 27, 2012 on Hotels.com
The Berce Hotel is excellent! The patio on the top of the building is great, with good views and an authentic Turkish breakfast every morning. The neighborhood is very old and interesting just to walk around. And you're only a few minutes' walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.
