Stamp size room and toilet

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: The breakfast is very good. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. They gave us late check out till 2.00 pm free of charge due to evening flight.
Cons: We felt very uncomfortable staying in the room as it was extremely so small. This is the smallest possible hotel room we have ever stayed in our life
Location: The location is very good. Very close to Blue Mosque. Walking distance to most of the attractions in Istanbul.
We were shocked to see the size of the room and the washroom. Bedroom was VERY small so we had keep one suitcase in the cupboard and the other one upright. Two of us were unable to cross each other in the room. Shower was so small and it was very uncomfortable. We were never told the size of the room when we booked. There is no lift so we had to walk up and down the stairs 3 floors. We had to place the suitcases on the bed to open them.

Pros: Nice clean, friendly, helpful staff. And the area close to the main sites.
Location: On the sea front, and 10 to 15mins to the Mosques and the palace and lots of places to eat and drink.
Very good stay, friendly staff and close to all the main sites,Airport and docks. Stayed in a front room with balcony views over the sea,Very busy road in front but no noise when the door was closed. We had a fresh bottle of water left in our room everyday no charge.

Ideal location, right on the sea front. ❤️

The hotel staff were very accomodating, room was always clean. Built in AC. Unfortunately there were no sea room views left, however from the back of the hotel, we could see the Sultan Ahmet/blue mosque. Ideal! Not far from some of the main locations, about an 8 min walk uphill on a cobbly street. (Take some good footwear). Absolutely loved this holiday - sad to be home!

Cons: The plumbing.
Hotel is central for touring all parts of island and excellent for capturing the essence of Malta. Wonderful view from breakfast room/dining room. La Cave restaurant in the cellar of the hotel is full of atmosphere.

Nice enough hotel

Posted May 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
Start with the negatives then end with the positives I think! Not so impressed with the room, for a triple felt far too small, disappointed me for a room sold as a triple, the double bed was not a true double bed and the second bed a single that didn't feel much smaller than the double! The wardrobe was far too small for 3 guests,we half lived out of our suitcases due to the small wardrobe, which we had to stack on top of each other as not enough floor space, the hangers in the wardrobe were too big to shut the doors once you put clothing on them? Annoying! Not great sound proofing between rooms, you could hear shower in use/toilet flushing etc from rooms each side of us and also the road in front of hotel is very busy which detracts a bit from the sea view. Only one English language tv channel other than news and the layout of the room/size of tv meant yet again not suitable for a triple booking. Couldn't get the safe to work (couldn't be bothered to get it dealt with though) was obviously faulty as have used these safes in countless hotels worldwide. One very frustrated night at the restaurant where they had a party so were given a menu and asked to use the cafe, despite asking for service sat for 30 minutes before deciding to leave and eat at the restaurant next door, this did annoy me as we had eaten at the hotel restaurant for the first 4 nights and being quiet were usually the only customers eating there so was not happy that on this busy evening it felt as though we were no priority for even taking an order! Positive, the good in the restaurant was good, staff very nice and friendly Only a 10 minute walk from Hagia Sophia and blue mosque which was very good Also shops nearby and plenty of restaurants etc nearby Hotel staff were all very nice, helpful, friendly, it was only the restaurant on the one occasion incident annoyed me Very clean, good housekeeping and good condition
