“great place to stay”

It was a great hotel. Even though it is Best Western, it feels like it is being run by a family. It is in a great location, especially if you are going to use Backpackers Travel for tours. They gave me an upgrade to a suite and when I got there 3 hours early, they got the room ready for me early. The breakfast is nice. Overall, I was happy with the hotel and would go back.

“Very quiet and comfortable.”

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and very helpful, and the food in the hotel restaurant is excellent. There are homes located almost directly behind the hotel, so if you are in a room at the back of the hotel on one of the lower floors, you will not have a view (I was on the third floor), but other than that, I have no complaints. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

“Charming Boutique Hotel in Sultanahmet District”

Although it is difficult to judge the hotel from online descriptions, our choice for a relaxing long weekend in Istanbul turned out to be a great one. Small but comfortable, with excellent service and a superb location blocks from the major historic sites of Hagia Sofia and Topkapi. Don't miss the in-house turkish bath and massage, or sampling local cuisine at the street cafes.

“Excellent hotel in Old Town Istanbul”

We travel quite often and I must say the hotel itself and its location was excellent. The staff are wonderful people!

“A Gem in Sultanahmet”

Having read a number of positive reviews of this hotel on Expedia and TripAdvisor, I decided to give the BW Premier a try. The prime location near the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Gulhane Park, and Aya Sofia is only surpassed by the absolutely wonderful and attentive staff. Every request is dealt with graciously and quickly. My room (which had a balcony and faced the backside of other buildings) was modest, but spotless. The hotel apparently is a converted mansion, and some of the architectural quirks (i.e. sloping ceilings, occasionally small closets, etc.) may be annoying for some but were charming for this solo traveler. If you are planning to stay in Sultanahmet, you should plan to stay here.

“A Beautiful Hotel with Excellent Service!”

My husband and I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, and this one stood out above the rest! The very charming cobblestone street location is lovely where everything is right outside your door- Wonderful restaurants/cafes, souvenir shopping, convenience stores, and more. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace are minutes away by walking. You can see the Bosphorus and Blue Mosque from the hotel rooftop deck. The hotel is very quaint, and the rooms are beautiful with hardwood floors, very comfortable, and clean. The hotel staff provided us with the best service we have ever experienced. They were always very friendly and helpful, remembered us by name, and always offered assistance. We would definitely stay at this hotel again, and I have not said that about too many hotels I have stayed in before. This hotel will leave you wanting to come back to Istanbul again.

situated in the heart of downtown Istanbul , this clean and modern hotel has charm and warmth . The staff are friendly and are always looking out for you . Our stay in Istanbul was amazing , our location was perfect [ we could walk everywhere ]. Good job !

“Impressive Service & Location”

Right from the reception to restaurant to room service, everything has been wonderful and excellent. Staff went all out to assist us in whatever ways they can. For instance, the lady staff at the reception assisted in arranging 4 us a 1 day tour to Troia and it was very well executed. All the staff made us very comfortable while we are at Istanbul especially on our Honeymoon! Thank you Best Western Premier Regency Suites Hotel-Spa for your wonderful service. “Very Impressed... Highly Recommended Hotel!”

The staff were all very helpful and courteous... most spoke excellent English. Breakfast buffet was expansive, with eggs made to order, pastries, fresh fruit, and standard European fair of select cheeses and cold cuts. Coffee was always good and fresh. Never ate at hotel for lunch or dinner because there were so many other great and inviting restaurants olong the same street. Hotel is highly recommended... a very pleasant experience.

“Wonderful Sultanahmet Hotel”

In June 2009, my family and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days at the start of a month long trip to Turkey and Greece. In the course of the month, we stayed at a whole range of accommodations. However, the level of service at this hotel was the best that we encountered. Every member of the staff was anxious to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are wonderfully clean, the location is great, the decor is attractive, the complimentary breakfast is very good, the restaurant offers a pleasant, above-average dining experience with wonderful views (if you choose the terrace restaurant), and the exercise facility is adequate. We could not have asked for a better start to our vacation!
