Brilliant hotel!

Posted Nov 3, 2014
So many hotels in Sultanahmet area, would definately recommend this hotel. Facilities are great, staff are excellent and help with any request big or small and it is literally a 5-10 min walk to Blue Mosque/surrounding area.

Perfect hotel for a mini-break

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Cons: More towels in the hammam.
The hotel is perfectly situated for the main Istanbul attractions and, being a little off the main drag, there are some interesting and less expensive restaurants and shops nearby - e.g. the Stone House restaurant and a great sweet shop. The hotel staff were very welcoming and gave a lot of advice and even offered to deal with any taxi drivers trying to rip us off. The free sauna and hammam in the basement are a very nice extra, especially after a long day tramping the streets. The rooms are well fitted out, smart and comfortable. Free bottled water from the mini bar is a nice touch. Breakfast at the hotel comprises a wide range of things from cold meats and salad , to cheese, comb honey and muesli, different local breads, eggs of various types and, on some mornings, hot frankfurters with pickled cucumber and a mixture of very spicy mushrooms and chilli peppers. There is a little terrace for an evening drink if the weather permits, but the restaurant feels a little soulless, so we did not dine there.

Leaking shower screen

Posted Oct 28, 2014
Bathroom became so wet everyday it was just so messy. Also the registration made a mistake with number of persons; we had an extra bed we didn't need. Despite him reassuring is three times that the additional bed would be removed it wasn't and the space was really limited

Nice stuff but funny smell

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Staff were fantastic, very friendly. Although room had a funny smell to it and because we were on third floor we could hear tables being moved around at 2.30am at the restaurant every night on 4th floor

Nice location but small room

Posted Sep 30, 2014
The hotel is located nearby the main tourist attractions such as the blue mosque. Excellent location yet junior suite is just enough size for two people. So if you are a group of three and more, get executive suite. In addition, all the junior suites are on second floor where has street view and you can even hear talking at the reception which is one floor downstairs.
