Great location and friendly servicePosted Oct 2, 2012 on Hotels.com
We've just returned from a lovely 4 night stay at the Blue House Hotel. The hotel's position couldn't be better, right beside the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia... although this did bring with it a stream of tourist coaches from early in the morning. We had breathtaking views of the Blue Mosque from the roof terrace bar and restaurant - what a shame they don't serve breakfast up there. Staff were all friendly, charming and courteous. Our room was perfectly clean and simply furnished, as was the rest of the hotel. We also loved the surrounding Sultanahmet quarter, which is full of restaurants and has lots of delightful Ottoman houses.

Great hotel centrally locatedPosted Sep 14, 2012
The hotel is located between the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia church. The Topkaki Palace is also near as well as a archeology museum. The room was small , but comfortable As was the bathroom. The hotel is older, but it looks like it's been remodeled. The have a terrace restaurant with a great view if the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus. The room also included a nice breakfast buffet.

Lovely hotel to stayPosted Aug 30, 2012
Pros: Position, staff and convenience
The rooms perhaps a little on the smaller side, but it is so perfectly situated to wander up around the Sultanahmet area, just on the doorstep. Very much enjoyed our stay there, and would return

A roof top experiencePosted May 27, 2012 on Hotels.com
I found the Blue House grandly situated, with views of the Blue Mosque, the Hague Sophie, and the Bosphorus, from an excellent quality roof top , restaurant. Rooms were small, and very clean. The price seemed a little dear, considering one actually had to pay extra for extra bottled water, but one can not underestimate the convenience if your time has limits.

Not quite 10 out of 10 but closePosted Mar 26, 2012
Cons: call to prayers
Location: couldprayers could not fault close to all major attractions
My only single complaint is not with the hotel or the staff as I rate this small botique hotel amongst the best I have stayed in and I have stayed in a lot of hotels. The proximity of the hotel to the major attractions again is .9 out of 10 The Blue Mosque was right out side my room window and here lies the problem that is if you do not mind being awoken at 5am every morning with the call to prayer. After the shock of the first morning I found it a little to sleep well as I would wake after midnight at different hours waiting for the call to Prayer Failing this I have absolutley no hesitation in recomending this hotel. Just climb into beda little earlier PS some mornings I managed to go back to sleep

The Blue house hotel was lovely.Posted Mar 20, 2012 on Hotels.com
From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and shown to our rooms which had lovely views of the Blue mosque and had everything you could want for a relaxing enjoyable stay. The only crtisisim was the poor breakfast would have liked to seen more choice but good value for money.

Great place.....No Problems,,Posted May 12, 2011 on Hotels.com
I stayed at the blue house for 6 nights....I would reccomend it to anyone that would like to go. The staff is friendly and will do anything you ask of them......My only problem was the Shower was to small to turn around in ...I only weigh 160 lbs. and I cant see an large person getting in and out of the shower. ,,,The Hot and Cold water is a fight cause it will go very hot and then lgo cold,,,but over all ...I thinks its a great place to stay while in Istanbul. The neighborhood is very Turkish and I never felt un safe at anytime.....you can walk around at any time you want......Id stay again ...but its just to far to go.......the air flight was 12 Hrs and that made it a bad trip......

The Blue House Hotel great positionPosted Feb 16, 2011 on Hotels.com
The hotel was very clean and comfortable and good value for money. The staff were helpful and location of the hotel was perfectly positioned to see the main sights of Istanbul old city. If I had to list negatives??? The shower room was a little small and the TV signal poor, but who goes to Istanbul to watch TV? Oh yes beware of carpet salsemen outside, posing as friendly locals just wanting to help you with your sight seeing!!!

Tons of character with a to-die-for locationPosted Dec 17, 2009
This is a small hotel right in the middle of the major Istanbul attractions. Rooms are small, but everything is very clean and up to date. Walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Grand Bazaar, and the Palace. More restaurants in the area than you can possibly visit in a lifetime. Buffet breakfast in the morning was quite extensive for the size of the hotel.

Great Place Near Old Mosques and PalacePosted Dec 16, 2009
Across the street from the Blue Mosque - extremely scenic at night and an amazing atmosphere with the nightly singing across the street. Lots of reasonable and very good restaurants in the area. BTW, the food and water is very safe in that area. The room does provide free bottles of water for you though. Free wireless Internet and TV worked great in my room. There was also a free computer in the lobby to use the Internet. Buffet breakfast was fine in a nice room. Only drawback is the loud morning prayer that wakes you up at sunrise. I was there on business and was extremely pleased with it - it was super to walk around there at night. I would definitely stay there with my family on vacation.
