Great Rustic Option in Old Town Brasov
I was very happy with the decision to stay at the Casa Wagner in Brasov. The location on the main old town square is ideal and it's short walk to all of the main sites in the city center. The rooms have some great character, being decorated in a traditional style; they were very clean and well appointed. Also, the staff was extremely helpful--they were great with restaurant recommendations, arranging tours and calling taxis. Highly recommended.

Great hotel and SPA
Really nice hotel with excellent SPA facilities. If you're looking for that special place so spend a nice romantic weekend, then this is the place. fireplace next top the bed, jacuzzi designed for 2 persons all a very spacious room. Dont miss out on the nice bakery situated right on the corner, which has the best breakfasts ever.

I enjoyed Istanbul, but I was disappointed with the services of the hotel. The room was not cleaned properly. I requested for a late check out, but they refused to grant me any although the hotel was almost empty. I requested airport shuttle, but the price was more than double a normal taxi.....etc

Not impressed and definately not a 5 star hotel - avoid this one
This hotel was very disappointing. It was booked as a 5 star hotel with breakfast. At breakfast (which is poor) they have an additional charge of Euro 2 for an omlet (5 star ehhh). When we asked for a restaurant, the concierge walked us three doors down and they were very insistent for us to eat there - (not sure if they get a commisison for this) At the hotel reception, a big sign no outside food for drink in the room - very low class - so what if i want to bring a bottle of water or coke or a candy bar from outside - I found this rude. It is definately not a 5 star hotel, and I was disappointed as I travel a lot (over 100,000 miles a year with the airline and stay in hotels all the time) and this was a getaway for my birthday that was disappoiinting. The hotel adverstises near Grand Bazaar but it is a taxi ride away and not that close compared to other normal five star hotels

Beautiful 5-star hotel in wonderful location
Elegant. Also included a wonderful breakfast buffet. Our room had a jucuzzi plus a full shower. It is near the major historic sites, which we walked to. Very reasonable price, maybe because the exchange rate to the US dollar was so good.

Great Hotel
The room was simply great. Very spacious, clean and the beds are comfortable (don't forget to choose your favourite pillow. The Jacuzzi is big and functional. The toilets have a geberit system that is very convenient, you'll quickly get used to it. I've been impressed by the overall quality of the hotel. I also got dinner once there and the fish is very good. The service is also good. The breakfast is not good, it may be a good idea to take a light breakfast and try some very good restaurants in Istanbul. Also the location was great for me, animated, not too much touristic, and 200m away from a tramway station (that is OK with a 4 yrs kid) . There are also some good cheap restaurants around.

Not a Five Star Hotel !
I booked this as a treat for a two day break in a work schedule, and it was great price for a 5* hotel. The hotel is in a great location, old city next to the Grand Bazaar and of course like many old cities a little dark at night which might make some people nervous. But Istanbul is very safe and not to worry is my advice to anyone. But the hotel is very old and not the 5* modern hotel you imagine these days, it has some of the most rude staff I have ever meet in Turkey and in a country where service is great was a shock. Please do not base the country on this hotel as its just their training that was bad. Room was big and the memory mattress and pillow great, but you have to rent the plug for $10 for the bath if you want to use the the advertised hot tub, jacuzzi large tub. It was not what I was looking for, but as it was a "secret" hotel and name not known until booked I could not check it out first.

Very pleasant and comfortable hotel to stay in. The room was spacious and well furnished. The jacuzzi in the bathroom was a luxury.The best facilities are turkish baths and swiiming pool/sauna/snow room etc. Good location for sight seeing.

I strongly recommend that you do NOT stay at the Celal Aga Konagi Hotel - the staff were extremely unhelpful. The reception staff upon check-in did not even provide us with a simple greeting of 'Good Afternoon' let alone a summary of the hotel facilities or meal timings. It appeared that most staff members were unable to speak English - when it suited them, so to ask simple questions turned in to a complete chore. Although the hotel rooms were of excellent standard and were very well presented and of good size, I feel this was insignificant as compared to the treatment endured by the appalling rude staff. Breakfast was quite average, and again the breakfast staff appeared to 'forget' their English (the hotel literature was written in Turkey and English, so I fail to see why they were unable to communicate accordingly). Therefore, in order for you to fully enjoy your experience in Istanbul, I would suggest that you completely avoid this hotel.

The hotel itself was a disappointment as we were expecting a 5 star hotel. Service, standard and location dictates 3-4 star. The hotel's breakfast was decent enough, but here a disappointment compared to what one would expect of a 5 star hotel. The room was large and had a relatively spacious bathroom with spa bath. Air conditioning worked, but not optimal, as it was never properly cool the room but good enough temperature to sleep. We had a few technical problems along the way (air conditioning and a light bulb), both of which were fixed right away. The service at the desk was good, they spoke good English and was cheerful and welcoming s. The hotel said to be central. Our view was that it was quite close to most sights, but the reality is that it takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the Grand Bazaar and 25 minutes to the Spice Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia. The biggest plus of the hotel was the amazing good beds, clean Tempur mattresses and pillows, lovely! On the roof there was a nice outdoor area with swimming pool and bar, clean and inviting, but also here, not a 5 star facility. I would say that this is a reasonable and good hotel if you're looking for 3 star hotel, but apply 5 stars I would recommend looking for another.

Hotel äusserlich gut ABER: Service ignoriert völlig die Gäste und lässt sich bei Privatgesprächen nicht stören.Gepäckträger wartet bis Gast Gepäckstücke an die Rezeption gewuchtet hat und nimmt dann kleinstes Gepäckstück geht voran verlangt anschließend intensiv einen Tip. Das Bad war teilweise verschimmelt, stank übel nach Abfluss. Die Wannenstöpsel fehlen-sind optional buchbar ! Die Armaturen sind teilweise schwarz verschimmelt. Bettwäsche vom vorherigen Gast verschmutzt. Man sollte Badetücher benutzen zum schlafen. Klimaanlage brummte laut, schlafen nur mit Ohrenstopfen, Der Kaffe miserabel,.- Maschine unsauber Leere Schalen, Brot ...wird nicht aufgefüllt, Bettler setzen sich auf Terasse an Tische der Gäste und fingern im Essen rum, Service ignoriert dies, Fernseher auf beiden Zimmern defekt , der Pool stark verschmutzt, der Haman, wurde dreifach berechnet, - Sonderangebot 15 Euro- abgerechnet 75 Euro , Hotelgänge dunkel, Aschenbecher auf den Etagen seit wochen nicht gereinigt.Team mit großer Sprühanlage läuft auf den Etagen herum und versprüht Pestizide in Ecken und Winkel !!! Orangensaft kostet extra, Der kranke Papagei im Frühstücksbereich bekommt kein frisches Wasser- ist sehr krank ! Steht den ganzen restlichen Tag im Dunkeln ... was soll man da sagen - eine traurige Vorstellung. Angeblich interessiert sich Chef nur für seinen Prosche vor Hotel, ist für Reklamationen nicht ansprechbar,feuert sofort seine Leute bei kleinen Rückfragen.

Hotellet er fint, men de er ikke specielt servicemindede i receptionen. Jeg bliver personligt irriteret når et hotel mener de skal blande sig i om jeg har en flaske vand på mit værelse. Alt i altt pænt og nydeligt og et kursus til de ansatte ville gøre mirakler.

The hotel looks nice and a very good location but is extremely bad maintained. A lot of utilities does not work for example I did not had air conditioning for two days. The pool program on the roof is too short only until 19:00, the staff is not helpfull and quite unpolite. The breakfast is also very bad and the restaurant looks more like a cantine than a 5 stars hotel restaurant.

Personalet er venligt, men med meget dårlig engelsk kundskaber, selv de simpleste ting var en udfordring. Servicen på hotellet når man fx bestilte en kaffe var dårlig. Vi ventede ved den indendørs pool i 30-45 min på en kop kaffe Morgen buffen lever ikke op til standard. Der er ikke frisk juice, men noget der minder om meget tynd saftevand.

morgenmad ikke i top og på et af to værelser fungerede aircondition ikke og da vi efter tre-fire dage fik tilbudt et andet værelse fungerede det heller ikke optimalt på det nye værelse. Herudover var vi meget tilfredse og kunne sagtens finde på at bo der igen og anbefale det til andre.

Hotel stupendo molto vicino alle attrazioni principali (nr. 2 fermate di tram che si possono fare anche a piedi in 20 min se non si vuole spendere il costo del biglietto). Il personale è qualificato e disponibile. Non parlano italiano ma l'inglese lo capiscono e parlano bene. il bagno turco è a pagamento mentre il resto e tutto compreso nel costo della camera.

Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in guter Lage
Bei unserer Ankunft war die Reservierung nicht bekannt. Erst nach einem 15-minütigem checken im Office hat sich unsere Reservierung (Zimmer war ja schon zur Gänze bezahlt) doch gefunden. Zimmer war in Ordnung, leider ließ sich die Balkontür nicht richtig schließen, was angesichts des Straßenlärms doch unangenehm war. Der Pool am Dach war Ende Oktober schon ausgelassen, muss aber im Sommer ein tolles Erlebnis sein, nach dem Besichtigen auf dem Dach mit toller Aussicht zu entspannen! Frühstücksbuffet war einfach aber in Ordnung, ärgerlich war die Aufzahlung von EUR 2.- für frisch gepressten Orangesaft oder ein frisch gemachtes Omelette! Hallenbad liegt im Keller ohne Fenster, haben wir nur einmal kurz angeschaut, nicht wirklich einladend. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, sowohl zur Hagia Sofia/Blaue Moschee als auch zur Galatbrücke nach Beyoglu kommt man gut zu Fuß.

abbastanza ben posizionato rispetto alla maggior parte dei monumenti e zone di interesse turistico
L'albergo è moderno anche se di un'architettura esterna abbastanza tradizionale. E' grande e bene attrezzato. Ha una zona zona "benessere" con piscina, sauna, sala strumenti ginnici, ecc. Attorno alla piscina bisogna fare attenzione a non scivolare sulle zone bagnate, soprattutto calzando le sconsigliabili ciabiattine messe a disposizione dall'albergo. Ha un ampio garage interno In camera è disponibile internet hi-fi e un grande televisore a schermo piatto. La spaziosità è normale. La facciata principale su cui affaccia la maggior parte delle camere è su una strada trafficata, ma in pratica il rumore non dà serio fastidio, grazie sia alle finestre con i doppi vetri che alla dimunzione notturna del traffico. Attenzione: i rubinetti dell'acqua calda e fredda recano le relative indicazioni "C" (cold = fredda) e "H" (hot = calda) invertiti e il rubinetto dell'acqua calda ruota in senso opposto a quello abituale. La sala per la colazione è confortevole; l'offerta di cibi e bevande è ampia ma a noi è apparsa un po' carente riguardo a brioches, dolci e frutta. Il peresonale è sufficientemente gentile e disponibile.

Hotel très bien situé (tout peut se faire à pied), confortable et très classieux. Cependant, le personnel ne parle pas un seul mot d'anglais (mon propre anglais étant médiocre, les barrières de la langue ont été fortement ressenties). Service très moyen, comme la nourriture : ce n'est pas un 5 étoiles français. Attention pour ce qui est du pays aux prix. Ils ne sont jamais affichés (même dans les magasins), et varient (pour un transport en taxi ou un simple café).Un conseil: ne pas louer de voiture! Les ceintures, clignotants et arrêts aux feu sont en option. Avis aux amateurs.

Das Hotel bemüht sich mit allem möglichen Schnickschnack (Jacuzzi Badewanne im Zimmer) top zu sein, ist es aber nicht. Den Stöpsel für die Jacuzzi Badewanne muss man für 10 $ kaufen und kann ansonsten gar nicht baden. Personal insbes. Rezeption ist extrem unfreundlich.

Schönes Hotel mit kleinen Fehlern
Das Celal Aga Konagi ist ein wunderschönes und gediegenes Hotel. Alles ist sehr sauber, das Personal sehr sehr freundlich und bemüht. Nur das Frühstücksbuffet war eine totale Katastrophe. Es wurde nichts augefüllt, alle Brotkörbe leer, O-Saft immer leer, Kaffee aus dem Automaten nicht geniessbar.

Mit ophold på hotellet i Istanbul var en kæmpe skuffelse! De prøvede konstant at snyde en. Vi skulle betale for at få tændt for det varme vand til bruseren(20 lire). De sagde vi skulle betale for at få gjort værelserne rene! De sagde vi skulle betal dobbelt pris for taxaen til lufthavnen! Vi skulle betale 50 tyrkiske lire for at hotellet sendte vores postkort afsted. Selvom der var frimærker på! Alt i alt et fuldstændig vanvittigt ophold! Besøger aldrig dette hotel igen! De ødelagde min ferie!

Een prima hotel op 20 minuten wandelen van de meeste bezienswaardigheden. De DeLuxe kamer met jacuzzi is een aanrader waarbij het jammer is dat extra betaald moet worden voor de 'afvoerstop' van de jacuzzi. Voor het ontbuit is ruim voldoende keus waarbij voor een verse ommelet en verse jus d'orange jammer genoeg een klein bedrag extra betaald moet worden. Doen deze extra betalingen af voor wat betreft de 5* status; Denk het niet. De overige faciliteiten, zwembad, hamman, restaurant en dergelijke zijn tiptop in orde. Personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Flott hotel, synes betjening på hotellet var litt fraværende, de ville helst unngå snakke med deg, selvom vi var tyrkere. Ellers var alt meget bra, gode store tempur senger, 5-10 min gåing til Sultanahmet område, og ca 10-15 min til Taksim med taxi (koster ca 10-12 TL) kan bruke trikk også, det koster 1,75 TL pr person, skal du skifte til noe annet kollektiv så må man betale igjen, så hvis man er flere er det lurt å ta taxi.

Perfekter Aufenthalt im Celal Aga Konagi
Wer in Istanbul hier nicht übernachtet ist selber schuld. Personal is freundlich, reichhaltges Frühstück, aber vor allem ein tolles Haman und Swimmingpool ( überal italienischer Marmor ). Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und nobel eingerichtet (LCD virtueller Kamin ). Das Interieur paßt einfach zum Hotel ( edle Stoffe, Farben, Stuck usw. ) Alles ist hochwertig; das Badezimmer ist sehr modern und großzügig mit Jacuzzi.

Decir que nosotros quedamos satisfechos del hotel principalmente por su relación calidad-precio, nos costó poco más de lo que cuesta una cena normalita en España en habitación Deluxe (no me permiten poner precios). De haber pagado más dinero la reseña no habría sido igual de satisfactoria. Habitación: decir que era enorme, materiales de calidad (marmol, etc), una chimenea artificial muy bonita y acogedora, 2 camas de matrimonio, una mesa con 3 butacas alrededor, un escritorio, pantalla TFT, WC electrónico y un jacuzzi enorme Como puntos negativos añadir que algunos de los mandos de la bañera estaban rotos, que además no nos pusieron tapón (y cuando se lo pedimos a la gobernanta nos dijo que teníamos que hablar con recepción, cosa que no hicimos porque nos daba igual usarla que no) y la señal de la TV era bastante mala. Limpieza: bastante regular. El cristal que unía la habitación con el baño estaba asqueroso, numerosas bolas de polvo y hasta un bastoncillo de las orejas de unos inquilinos anteriores tirado en el suelo. Además un olor bastante profundo a desagüe al entrar en la habitación, aunque esto es bastante típico en hoteles de Oriente Medio. Instalaciones: geniales, el SPA es totalmente gratuito, con piscina, duchas de varios tipos, cañón de hielo, baño turco, sauna, etc, lo mismo que el gimnasio. Aunque he de decir que muchos de los chorros y jacuzzi de la piscina no funcionaban. Además con un horario amplio, de 10 a 10, de modo que al regresar a la tarde al hotel era ideal bajarse al Spa. En la azotea cuenta con otra piscina y terraza, si bien en enero estaba cerrada, pero en verano debe ser una gozada. Desayuno: estaba incluido en el precio. No está mal, pero nada del otro mundo. Destacar la variedad de mermeladas diferentes y las tortillas de distintos ingredientes al momento. El zumo era de polvos y si querías natural te lo cobraban aparte, bastante caro para el país que es, por cierto. Para los que no tomamos café, había chocolate caliente, punto a favor. Ubicación: bastante buena, sin ser la mejor. Muy cerca de la universidad, a siete minutos andando del Gran Bazar, 20 del puente de Gálata y 25 minutos de la mezquita Azul. Vamos, que se puede ir andando desde allí a todas partes. La zona no da miedo, incluso volviendo de noche a pie, como hicimos varios días. En resumen. Si lo encuentras bien de precio, es una excelente opción. Unas habitaciones enormes y de calidad y una buena ubicación. Eso sí, el que espere un 5 estrellas de gran lujo de tipo occidental, en el que se mima cada detalle, etc que se olvide porque va con la idea equivocada.

personnel très gentil. restaurant satisfaisant sans plus (pas de spécialités turcs) hotel très confortable avec possibilité de se baigner, de se faire masser, etc; après une bonne journée de marche à istanbul. hotel proche de tous les centres d'intêrets d'istanbul.
