“switched after one night”
the regular room was extremely small, the AC was hardly working, no safe box, the view was the dingy roof and wall of another building.
when I first arrived, the guy at the counter tried to move me to a different hotel for one night, and then when I declined, he became cold and unfriendly.
I asked someone else if they had a better room, and they said not tonight, but I should check back tomorrow to see if a larger and more expensive room was available.
But instead I decided to find another hotel. The following morning, I went to checkout and the initial cold guy said he had to "talk to me". He told me that because they had cleared someone out to switch me into a more expensive room, they would have to charge me for a 2nd night too. I complained and said Expedia would talk to them for me. He said it didn't matter, I would have to pay 2 nights. I said whatever and walked out.
And thanks to Expedia, I was able to get my money back for the other nights and only had to pay one.
For a slightly higher price, I was able to get a bigger, cleaner, beautiful room at the Ferman Hotel.
