Convenient location, friendly staff, not so clean
The hotel is very centrally located, steps away from the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, and the rest of the Sultanahmet/Fatih area, which makes it convenient for walking around. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was nice! My real complaint was with the cleanliness of the room. When we arrived, our room was visibly dirty--the bathroom trash was full, there were hairs all over the floor, there was no soap, etc. I asked if they could at least take out the trash and the employee said something about the cleaning people only coming every five days or so?? Sure enough, our room was never visited by housekeeping for our entire three night/four day stay, which got a little gross. However, the bed was comfortable, despite the small size of the room. Overall, a decent choice for a budget stay in a convenient area.

Staff was very helpful especially Saad. The hotel manager is a lovely gentlemen, very respectful and helpful. The property is a small boutique hotel, excellent location but double room was small and could barely move around in it. Would recommend the Deluxe rooms. Excellent view of the Blue Mosque on the terrace. Overall, a good stay.

Worst Mattress EVER!
YOU CAN FEEL EVERY SPRING ON THE BED!!! Sadly made for a very uncomfortable few nights. When I asked for another room I got told all the beds were the same. I also found a hair in the very very average breakfast. The staff didn’t really care at all when I told them. Needless to say don’t book for the breakfast. The room Was really clean and the linen was great quality just wish I actually managed to sleep more in the bed - it was soooo uncomfortable!! No idea how in the world they got such good reviews?!?!

Good place to stay for a break
Really good central location. Great views from the terrace. Good food and service. The staff were excellent and could not be more helpful. A pleasure to stay there.

Everything else was great except the slow wifi

Excellent location - good value for money
This is a simple hotel is very good location walking distance to many touristic attractions. The hotel is very clean with a good bed and a good shower. The staff is very kind and the service is great. There are many restaurants in the nearby areas and the tram line is 5 min walking. We had a great stay

Small and cozy, no worry, no disturb at all. Easiest check-in, check-out. Extremely friendly staff, the very turkish way. All things are next to the hotel if you want to dive for a day or two into Turkish Culture and Museums of Istanbul.

Beautiful fun great stay
It was amazing. Great stay. So friendly and helpful nothing was a problem. We were a family of 5 and they were fantastic with the kids couldn't be nicer and it was really close to everything. All the attractions. Also our dinner was the best we had in our 5 day stay there. The hotel 's breakfast was fresh a d great and the dinner was so yummy.

Great stay at the Charm Hotel
We've just stayed at the Charm Hotel for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. Location couldn't be bettered and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend it and look forward to returning.

Very good hotel
It was wonderful stay in Charm hotel. Location is perfect, just a few minutes to Hagia sophia, blue mosque, topkapi palace and tram station to reach other parts. Very friendly and helpful staff, special thanks to Mohammad. Clean and comfortable room. Nice buffet breakfast. We had dinner at roof-top restaurant, delicious food and amazing views of sea and blue mosque. There are many cafes, restaurant and souvenir shops around. would stay again..

fantastic location with amazing roof top terrace
The staff were extremely helpful especially with bags going up 3 flights of stairs. Really good service and the location was excellent in terms of the Blue Mosque and Sofia Hagia. The staff couldn't do enough for me. Thankyou.

If you are comfortable with a small clean European type charming hotel you might find in Tuscany you will be pleased. The staff is friendly and tries very hard to please. Very close to all the main tourist sites and the Metro. We would return.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, giving us tips for sightseeing. The furniture was cute and the beds were comfortable. Location was fantastic, and close to the main street so you don't end up walking down dark streets. ATM and convenience store a few steps away. We had drinks and nargiler at the rooftop restaurant, with a nice view of the Blue Mosque - guests get free tea/coffee and 10% discount. With 3 people, it was cheaper to take a cab back to the airport instead of the shuttle, which the front desk called for us, but make sure to still negotiate price before getting in.

Good location, close to lots of restaurants and bars and is also near to the main places to visit in Istanbul. The hotel itself is ok, the entrance is small, no sitting area. We booked a room for 4 adults and we were given a room for 3 with a double bed and a single bed, I slept on the single bed and it was rather uncomfortable. The reception was very helpful on booking the transfer to the airport.

There was several issues with our stay 1. The first night we got there on the 24/03/2014 there was a power cut and we did not have electricity for an hour. we received no apology or explanation about the power cut 2. At 4.46 am the receptionist started his morning prayer howling loud for 30mins and since were at the first floor he woke us up 3. The breakfast was very limited and cold and for a place that is supposed to a 4 star we were very disappointed and if you are afraid of dogs there are many dogs around 4. We booked one price and they over charged us at the end 5. on the 26/03/2014 the night of my birthday the receptionist offered to go out with us to a night club where he knows we would like he then got so drunk and was angry that we did not go back to the hotel with him. When we took our taxi back to our hotel room he was waiting outside and he was cursing at me threatening to punch me. He told me that if i was not a hotel guest he would beat me up. 6. The receptionist tried to scam us with his taxi driver friend offering to take us to the airport for 50 euros when we found the standard was 30 i cant understand how this hotel is advertising themselves as a 4 star and how such service is allowed to take place i am hoping that these issues can be investigated

Charming location
We loved LOVED the location of our hotel. The staff (Muhammed) was very nice and helpful. Shuttle is NOT included people. Then again, the cabs to/from the airport weren't too bad, but still. Around $20-25 each way. Decor is a bit tawdry and the restaurant on the terrace isn't too great, but again it was so convenient close to the Blue Mosque/Sofia and tram. There are actually some decent restaurants around!

I am actually surprised that this is still listed on hotels.com will not recommend this hotel for the issues listed below 1. On our first night there was no electricity for about an hour making it difficult to charge gadgets etc 2. There was howling loud prayer sound coming from the reception at 4am 3. Got a free upgrade and was then told at check out that it was a different price 4. The breakfast cold eggs limited choice and was not good at all would not recommend even though it is free 5. One of the receptionist took us to a recommended night club and then became abusive threatened to beat me up if I was not a guest. Was cursing all over the hotel made me feel very uncomfortable 6. Dogs outside the hotel so if you are afraid of dogs I would not recommend this hotel at all Very disappointed customer

It is Charming - great Location.
As a lot of others have said - the location is fantastic. It is literally steps away from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. The staff is great - very helpful. The rooms are small but well decorated and well decorated/furnished. None of the rooms are on the ground floor and the stair case is steep so it was fine for me and my family but someone who is mobility challenged might have difficulties. The breakfast food and room were good - no complaints about them.

Great location, service and character
This hotel couldn't be located in a better spot. Steps from all this sights and amid a number of fun restaurants, lounges and shops. Stunning view from the rooftop terrace. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, both prior to our arrival and during our stay. The room was very clean, had lots of character and all the amenities one would need. Although it was on the small side, it was laid out in a way that made it feel bigger than it was. For those who like smaller boutique hotels, I would certainly recommend to stay here if you find yourself in Istanbul.

Charm Hotel is located near almost everything! We walked to most of the tourist attractions from the hotel. Staff is great, especially Manager Mahmet! Breakfast no so great but I never expect too much from Budget Hotels anyway!

breakfast in the "bar" next door needs to be addressed - crowded with tables - poor ambiance. Location is great - balcony can be noisy -- didn't sleep well. Polite , helpful staff. Nicely decorated small room. Would stay again, very competitive price but would not be my first choice.

Tek gecelik bir konaklama yaptım eşimle fakat iyi bir deneyim değildi öncelikle oda çok küçüktü 19m2 lik oda kesinlikle değildi oysa rezervasyon o şekilde yapmadım yataga iki kişi zor sıgdık valla bence 120lik bir yataktı jer neyse odaya en son ne zaman misafir kaldı ve temizlendi bilmiyorum çekmecede kanlı pecete vardı yatak carsaflarında kıl tüy vardı durmaktan sanırım tv de sinyal yoktu ilgilecek kişi gece 11 de geleceği için o saatten sonra istemedik biz de otelden çıkıp dısarıda takıldık gece gec gelip sadece yattık ama maalesef tekrar gelmeyiz. Resepsiyon da bizi karşılayan kız tatlıydı.

Nära till allt...
Ett litet mysigt hotell mitt i Sultanahmet området. Nära till alla de stora sevärdheterna. Något slitet och kanske behöver lite småfix här och där men vi var nöjda med allt. Personal var väldigt hjälpsamma och trevliga och fanns alltid där när man behövde dem.
