“Would always go back”

Great hotel and service, quite interesting city and country. Great Food. I simply love it. We had our kids with us and they also enjoyed it.

“Conrad Istanbul”

The room was very nice and large with a comfortable bed and a very nice restroom. The hotel workout facility was also very nice. The food at the hotel was expensive, and the service at the 14th floor restaurant for lunch was poor. The hotel is located in the New Town section on the European side of Istanbul (across the Golden Horn) and not convenient to many of the attractions in Istanbul Old Town. For Hilton, the Double Tree in Old Town is more centrally located for exploring those attractions. If you are going to the Asian side of Istanbul or taking a cruise from the port of Istanbul, the Conrad would be better as it is closer to the bridge and the port. There is a small park across from the Conrad for exercising too. There are some exceptional restaurants on the Straits within a short cab ride of the Conrad (10 Lira). Our price on the room was very good and it included a very good buffet breakfast.

Area recommendations

Istanbul has many attractions and lots of people. As a result, try to stay in the area that is close to much of what you wish to see. We spent much of our time in Old Town, a little time in New Town and toured the Asian side of the City. The traffic in Old Town is terrible -- lots of double parking. The Asian side of Istanbul seems more modern, and there is a fantastic view of the City and the Straits from the park on the highest hill in Istanbul on the Asian side. Cab drivers routinely take advantage of tourists -- charging off meter prices and taking routes that extend the cab ride.

“Not worth the money .”

“Good location, but must walk uphill...”

we had a bosphorus view room, the view was great, wanted a room with a balcony but was told that all are taken, it was with windows which open though, but do not open fully. the street leading to the hotel has got mostly everything, shops, restaurants, cafe's, etc. Coming back to the hotel is recommended be done by car, walking is a little difficult, the hotel is on a hill. there are always taxis waiting in front of the hotel(dedicated for Conrad). The bathroom didnt have a hand shower, and looks old. the piping makes noise everytime you open the tub. breakfast was great with great variety. but would recommend that you dont take breakfast throughout your stay, and rather select when to have it at the hotel, because there are a lot of options outside. staff were friendly, responded quickly. I felt the rate of the room was a bit high, we were a couple with an infant, and with the baby's bed the room becomes small. overall it is a very good hotel, and would recommed it for others, and would consider going back in future.

Area recommendations

Dlpache Palace-Go early in the morning Bueke Ada(Princess Islands)-also go early, first trip at 10:00 A.M. Bosphour Bridge(suspended)-there is a publuic park nearby, and many cafe's restaurants to set anjoy the view.

“OK Hotel”

Everything about this hotel is "OK" without really standing out. The rooms are clean and moderately spacious but not to the degree this would be a reason to stay here rather than elsewhere. The staff are friendly and welcoming but then so is everywhere else in Istanbul. On the negative side, the restaurants would be worth avoiding were it not for the spectacular view of the Bosphorus from the 14th and 15th floors, which are definitely the main attraction of this hotel. We ended up having drinks here then eating elsewhere.

Area recommendations

Many fine restaurants can be found next to the Bosphorus. Well worth hiring a tour guide for the day as they can expedite entry to many of the sites and also help you avoid tourist traps when dining or shopping.

“Great view and location”

Stayed for 4 days in March. The hotel has a great location which is very close to Taxim square, Akaretler and Nisantasi as well as bhosphorus. Walking distance restaurants and bazaars are fantastic. Breakfast in Turkey always best; amazing. Summit bar e must go bar at the hotel. Get a sea view room.

“Nice hotel with a great view of the city”

Nice hotel. Comfortable room. Helpful staff. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. But somewhat far from the historical part of town.
