“Great Trip”
Nice location and hotel
“most cheerful hotel”
Staff are super cheerful, helpful, friendly, sociable, and considerate. My room had some problems before i arrived, and they made all the arrangements for me to stay at another just across the street, and then transfered my bags when my room was ready. Transfer to and from the airport was very much worth it as well.
“Good staff and nice room”
Just stayed at the Deniz Konak last week. The room was a good one, spacious, clean with tub, shower and mini-bar. 5-10 Minute walk to Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace and the Blue Mosque not to mention the rail system which can take you over the bridge to the more modern side of town. A very friendly and helpful desk staff. I'm pretty picky and had a really good stay there.
“Lovely hotel in fantastic location”
I booked this hotel around three months before going on the trip, and coudln't belive how cheap it was. I read some reviews and was pleasantly suprised that this hotel had received positive comments form other travellers. The hotel is very conveniently located; you can see the Blue Mosque from the window, and the hotel is around a 10 minute walk form other attractions such as the Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace etc. The hotel itself is quite small, and atmospheric. You really feel as though you are in Istanbul from the decor and not just a generic hotel that could be anywhere in the world. The room we had was on the top floor and had a view of the sea which was beautiful. I'm sure this room has quite spectacular views come the spring/summer. The room was clean, spacious and the bathroom was much nicer than the standard I've come to expect when going on holiday to other european countries. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly, and had a good standard of english. The hotel is in a great location in Sultanhamet and is clsoe to many wonderful restaurants and Cafe's. we also enjoyed the brekfast at the hotel. There was always plenty of food, and the breakfast really set us up for the entire day. All in all I woudl highly recommend this hotel.
“Excellent Stay in Istanbul”
The hotel was very nice, we stayed in house 2, which is right next to the check in house but has a larger balcony. Both houses have a delicious free breakfast buffet every morning. The rooms were nice and hotel cleaning staff were excellent. Very convenient to Blue Mosque, Hippodrome and Hagia Sophia. A little further to the tram stop. Good location overall. One small complaint, although I clearly showed up to the check in desk with two people, when I tried to check out they claimed I only reserved for one and charged me a (surprisingly) trivial amount. At least they were nice about it.
“Outshined Istanbul 4-star hotels by far. Personal Customer Relationship is main priority”
Though we've stayed in higher star rated hotels in Istanbul, they do not compare to the personal, friendly experience we had at Deniz Houses. It is obvious that developing a customer relationship is their top main priority, and goes beyond mere customer service, into a total positive customer service experience. Staff is extremely helpful in every aspect. We came back and stayed again, and were repeatedly impressed. We intend on returning to Istanbul, and when we do, Deniz Houses will be our preferred stay.
“If I come back, I will stay in this hotel.”
The price is very reasonable. It has an ocean view, and it is five minutes walking from a tram station at blue masque.
“Convenient, clean and comfortable”
Staff was very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The view from the breakfast terrace was neat!
“Good little hotel”
Clean and central hotel. Staff were firendly and helpful. Room was a decent size. Nice roof terrace for breakfast.
“Good Value Overall”
Staff bordering on too friendly - wanting to sell us tours etc but once they knew we weren't going to buy extra tours they settled down and were helpful with any queries we had. Our booking was split as we went away for one night out of Istanbul. There was no problem about them holding our luggage while we were away. The first room we had was very, very small. Only just do-able and we are not fussy and did not have a lot of luggage. However we did pay a budget price so I guess we got what we paid for. The second room was in the building next door and was much larger. We would stay again but would try to get a larger room (but pay the same price!).
