“This is a GREAT place to stay in Istanbul”

The location was perfect as it was a very easy walk to all the important sites. But, there are a lot of hotels in the area. This hotel really stood out due to the incredibly helpful staff and the great facilities. I booked a room with a Turkish Bath but I was upgraded to their Suite. Both rooms were fantastic and I would have been equally happy with either option. There were great about making dinner reservations and getting cabs for me when required. I really like to support small, boutique hotels and this was one of my favorites!

“a delightful experience”

A gem of a small hotel. Personnel extremely helpful. Location close to everything. We booked the room with the turkish bath which was beautiful. Best of all, the rooftop restaurant for breakfast and afternoon glass of wine. Looks out over the Sea of Marmara and the Blue Mosque. Magical!

“We LOVE the Dersaadet hotel!”

The staff were kind, patient and very helpful. I was struck by the fact that they would stand up whenever we entered the room; ready to answer any question. The room was very clean and comfortable. Quiet street. Nearby shops and small bazaar. Very easy walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome, Grand Bazaar, Tram, Cisterne, and Topaki Palace. Wonderful breakfast in room overlooking Bosphorus and Blue Mosque. Also, they served drinks in the same room at night; beautiful to see Blue Mosque light up. Extremely great value for such a wonderful place.

This hotel is in Sultnemhet area of city which has all the great sights.

We did not realize how many carpet salesmen there are in the city! You will be approached many times to vist a carpet shop. Most guys start by simply saying hello or giving you directions to a place and then ask about seeing their carpets. Lots of the saleman hang around outside the mosques.

“Great Expectations”

My overall experience in this hotel was great. The staff were very helpful and cordial. Having a computer available for the guests was quite helpful. I highly recommend staying at this hotel, it is quite close to the Blue Mosque and the view from the resturant on the roof was great.

“trip to Istanbul”

the trip to Istanbul was terrific .i had an excellent time. we stayed in the sultanhamet area it was absolutely wonderful. walking distance to major attractions, mass transit(which was easy and quick to get around with). the people, the food and the places to see were fantastic. also went to Bodrum, which was also a nice area to visit. the people, food and things to do and see (town , marina and castle were really nice . took a day trip to ephesus to see the ruins a must see. our trip to turkey was wonderful with great memories wish i had more time to see other areas. would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone.

stayed in sultanahmet in Istanbul, the area was great to walk around, easy to get to mass transit which was easy to get around in and it was quick and ran often. In bodrum stayed outside of the center of town, but it was easy to get to town and the marina when you wanted to get there.

“Nice Hotel”

Nice, small hotel. Very well located, close to the Blue Mosque. Friendly, helpful staff. The roof deck has a wonderful view of the ocean and the Blue Mosque. We loved coming up for breakfast and for a drink in the evening. The free computer in the lobby is also a nice touch. Our only complaint was that the sheets were rather small so your partner might pull them off you in the night. My wife is a light sleeper and the small mosque nearby did not bother her with its call to prayer in the morning, but you can hear it if your room is on that side of the hotel, but that is true over much of the city. Overall it was fine and we would stay there again.

“Great hotel near the Blue Mosque”

This was my second visit. Walking distance to the Hagia Sofia. Very helpful staff. Fabulous view from the breakfast terrace. They will arrange to meet you at the airport, which is very helpful if you are traveling alone. Hope to return again.
