Very nice hotel.

Pros: Cleanliness
Location: Close to pendik ido. Water transportation to the other side of marmara sea.
Excellent hotel. Very helpful staff, no fuss, zero complications. Cannot fault this place other than location. It's not very close to the istanbul center but if you want a nice place to stay on the other side of istanbul it's great.

Great luxury hotel, poorly located!
Posted Jan 15, 2013
Pros: - Very luxurious, with well-furnished rooms and facilities - Good value for money - Attentive staff Cons: - Location! The hotel is based in Pendik, on the Asian side of the city. Our daily "commute" into Europe went in the following order: (a) a cab ride to the nearest metro station (Kartal) (b) a 16-stop metro ride from Kartal to Kadikoy (c) a 30-min ferry ride from Kadikoy to Eminonu (our "gateway" to the European side of Istanbul. This method was recommended by the hotel staff as being the cheapest and quickest. In all honesty though, the daily trip into Europe was fun but the novelty of the ferry ride wears off! - Hotel pool staff weren't very accomodating to our religious/cultural restrictions. It took a few stern words from myself to extract a written apology. Whilst they were courteous, it did leave a sour taste. - We were given a room in the "smoking" section of the hotel- it was not made clear during booking that non-smokin was an option.

OK, but could do with more Turkish cuisine

Cons: The Menu
Location: Ideal for doing business, but nothing else! apparently there is a nearby marina where they have Turkish restaurants (10-15 mins taxi drive)
Ideal for doing business in the Tuzla region, very close to the airport, but not close (walking distance) to any nearby restaurants. I found the dinner menu to be very limited, a couple of Turkish dishes, and the rest pizza and pasta etc.. be very careful though, as they had a meat night, and got caught out with the differnt prices i.e. the prices on the main menu were TL but on the meat menu Euro's (for some reason or another#?? and very expensive?! Not much atmosphere downstairs at the bar, but much nicer on the roof. The room was nice, but the air circulation could have been cleaner, as my room stunk of smoke #not cigarette smoke).

Great clean hotel for Pendik area

I would not stay anywhere lse in Pendick/Tuzla. This hotel is the best of them all, not so good for Tourist as far from Istanbul city (1.5 hours by cab) but ideal for business in the shipyards of Tuzla Bay. Best way to get to city is water taxi. Food is good in hotel, staff very helpful and friendly. Only one downside to this hotel is the fact the air-conditioning in the rooms never really work 100% I have stayed in about 5 different rooms in this hotel over the last year and there all the same the air-conditioning seems to be more centrally controlled and the panel on the wall does not adjust anything! However you will not find a better hotel in the area, the local area is not a tourist area at all there's not much to do! So its good that the hotel has gym/pool, 2 good bards/restaurants and good selection on TV.

Very Pleased
Posted Jan 11, 2012
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: It is a bit off the beaten path, but it was exactly where I needed to be.
The Divan Istanbul Asia Hotel was more than I expected. The staff was more than helpfuland willing to help with any questions I had. I stayed in the King Corner room and the view was great. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a very nice. Food at this hotel was cooked perfectly. I was overall pleased and will go back in December. Oh and the hotel is very safe and secure.

great hotel
Posted Jan 5, 2012
Pros: cleanliness, friendly staff, quite hotel, comfortable
Cons: location
Location: far from Istanbul most visited attractions
exceptionnal superb hotel, the staff is friendly, the furniture is upscale, the Spa and gym are amazing, hotel offers everyday complimentary water for guests, Non smoking rooms are perfect for those who cannot bear the smell of smoke like me. The view from the hotel is stunning, as my room was on 12th floor. Breakfast buffet is varied but a little expansive as it was not included, but overall, it was ok to spend extra money for a well organized and delicious buffet..The only regret is the hotel location which s a little bit far from Istanbul attractions. I would love to have a similar experience again, and I would definitely recommend it!

Convenient for ferry at Pendik, not much in the area otherwise. Very luxuriously appointed rooms - extremely comfortable. If taking a non-local taxi (from the airport, for example) tell them E5 (eh besh) - it's not really in Pendik at all 0- and it will help avoid driving round and round for twenty minutes :) Just slept there for a few hours, nothing much more I can add
