Convenient and good value - close to heart of the

We booked this property 2 weeks before arrival and we paid full amount to ebookers , when we reached Istanbul we kept calling the property owner but he didn't pick up the phone, when we reached at the property then he picked up the phone and he said he is not at the property at the moment , this is not a hotel you have to find another apartment and we was standing at the property with 2 families with young children all together 13 peoples , we booked 2 apartments one comes as a apartment and other as a hotel apartment then our driver helped us to find another apartment near by.I recommend to not book this property. ( BEWARE YOU'VE BEEN WARNED)

Worst Experience and worst hotel in Istanbul
Th hotel was absolutely disgusting and very bad quality. I had 5 members of my family who were stranded overnight with no heating, no clean bedsheets, and a rude receptionist. The place does not reflect what is written on hotel.com reveiw and the picture are certainly not real either. Please be careful when you book this place.

If you care about the price.. then this's a good deal.. just put in mind, it's a small clean apartment. Furnished with basic furniture with below standard entrance. The owner is quite nice person. The location is good.

It was not what we expected
The apartment is on the steep, small street in the middle of nowhere... It is on the street of shoe workshops and the whole street smells of glue.. the apartment itself is clean and the staff, who met us is very helpful. He even did not accept the tip, we offered, but the location is bad and it is on the third floor with the most steep and narrow stairs. We moved out after the first night due to the above reasons. Also, the cost was way high comparing to what they offered.

We had a great stay, everything clean and all the kitchen utensils available. there was a safe inside to keep our valuables, nice neighborhood quiet and felt very safe. Locked outside door to the building that only residents with a key could enter. Many things nearby to do and restaraunts. Everything we needed was there. I would recomend Ekim apartments to anyone.

Very nice room in walking distance to Sultanahmet
I stayed 2 nights in the Santa Apartment. The room itself was very nice and clean. It was in a very good area where you can find a great choice of cafes, restaurants and get to city center easily. I walked to Sultanahmet square, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi palace which took me around 10 to 15 minutes. The staff was really friendly although he is not in 24 hours in. But you can call or text him anytime and he is ready to rush for assistance. The only problem I had was that there was no microwave in the room although it had electric kettle, fridge and sink. Overall I liked my stay and would recommend it confidently.

We had booked an apartment for a family of 7. After reading reviews I realised the larger apartments were at the bottom of a steep hill. As the booking was nonrefundable they wouldn't cancel but offered 2 smaller apartments closer to the blue mosque. The ground floor apartment was fine only problem was smell in the bathroom and no view from the bedroom. Bed was uncomfortable. The semi basement apartment had mould in the bedroom,sitting room and kitchen. The whole flat smelt damp. The bed moved when you changed sides. We required an extra matress which was also filthy. Pros -good wifi, 3 min walk to blue mosque, many places to eat nearby. Daily cleaner. Clean towels daily. Cons -mould and smell of damp in semibase Hygiene of matress and duvets was poor/ average Apart from CNN and BBC news no English channels. My kids were ill during the holiday so I ended up spending a lot of time in the apartment. I would never recommend the semi basement. Glad to be back home !

Our stay at Ekim was very pleasent. There was a bit of misunderstanding about the number of bedroom in the begining and we were given a 1 bedroom apt inspite of email confirmation that it was a 2 bedroom place but they found us a bigger apt in a different building. Tried to charge us extra fee but honoured their original price due to the email confirmation they had sent us.Very clean, daily cleaning. Great neighbourhood and safe. Close to all major attractions.

Ekim apartments maintain a number of different apartments. I went by the location listed on my reservation, but our apartment was about a mile away. The test of good customer service is when a guest/customer has a problem, and the staff handles the problem to the customer's satisfaction. When I expressed dissatisfaction with my apartment and the location, the staff exceeded my expectations. They took care of all my issues by moving us to a newly renovated nice apartment at a great location.

small nice studio in the heart of the old city
The hotel is a renovated old big house. Studio is small but nice, has a king size bed and one sofa, in addition to a tiny kitchen area with a sink, plates and small fridge. The extra metal bed is not comfortable but we used the extra mattress. Our studio had a small balcony with a little far view of sea water and backyard of old big houses with trees and actual railways. Studio was cleaned daily. If you like being in the old city, at 5 minutes walk from the blue mosque and tramway station at a reasonable price, then this is a perfect place.

A very comfortable place with the perfect staff.
We stayed there for 5 days, Ayub the nice young guy help us from day one with his staff, a very polite and professional and always ready to help. Hotel staff has arranged the pick-up from airport as well as drop off. As soon as we arrived there the hotel staff helped us with the luggage. We got the ground level apartment, it was spacious two room apartment with a living room and nice spacious washroom / toilet with shower. Apartment was serviced and cleaned everyday. Basic kitchen utensils and plates were also provided. Very well located in the heart of Sultanahmet area, Blue Mosque is merely a 5 minute walk and the tram station is 6 to 7 minutes walk with all the restaurants and tourist attractions of Istanbul like Hagia Soffia, Topkappi palace . I would go there again and strongly recommend to anyone.

Instead of an apartment that we had booked we were given two rooms on a separate floor. One had kitchen faculties which was useful. The name of the apartment has also changed so was confused if were in the right place or not. Otherwise, we had a good stay. The property is close the Blue Mosque (4-5 mins walk) and the area has a lot of character. Hotel staff were friendly and we use the pick up / drop off fr0m airport which all worked out fine. Rooms are clean, bathroom were updated and working and all in all we would come back.

A nice and well equipped appartments
It is a very nice appartment, with all the required equipments you need to live in short and medium visits to Istanbul. It is a clean and the staff keeps it clean..... The best thing is its location close to all sites that you need to visit on the old city. The person who received us knew English well and was so helpful and knowledgeable....... I would recommend it for all who wants to visit Istanbul on the budget specially families.

Nice little Apt
We stayed in the one bedroom with balcony and sea view. Apt is a little cramped (with very low ceilings, so if you are tall beware), however the view and nice bathroom made up for it. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Great beds, shower, staff, less than 5mins walk towards the blue mosque (sultan ahmet). Room comes equipped with a full kitchen (kettle, fridge and more). Iron and ironing board provided too. Overall great place to stay for any age group. Groups and couples ...this place is a gem!

Nice apartment close to many rest
The apartment was clean and tidy. It's closed to this lively restaurant area. Aycan was very accommodating. There's a proper kitchen and washing machine/ dryer. It's reasonable price for a 5 person accommodation. Taxi is easy to get around and cheap. Make sure you don't get meter rate as they can rip you off a lot more than if it's fixed price. 10-15TL should be plenty to get anywhere either old or even new town.

Service was good, the staff were helpful and the room was clean and the beds comfortable. Everything needed was there and if was a clean basic apartment at a good price.

Nice apartment near Blue Mosque
This was a nice place to stay for 4 nights. It was just a 10 minute walk to all of the major sites in Sultanahmet, including the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, and Basilica Cistern. The room was clean and hotel staff friendly. It isn't in the nicest neighborhood, but we felt perfectly safe. Quite a few stray dogs around but they're cute and friendly. We were on the top floor, which meant a lot of stairs but also a great view of the harbor from our terrace. We enjoyed our stay but I have two complaints. 1) The hot water heater broke so we didn't have hot water for a shower on one of the days. 2) There was no one at the front desk at 5:45am when we wanted to check out of the hotel (we had an early flight that morning), so we had no one to give the keys to and no one to pay. When the hotel went to charge my credit card after we had left, they charged it twice because, apparently, it didn't go through the first time. While they said their bank only received one charge, my credit card had indeed been charged twice. It was quite a hassle to get the second charge removed from my credit card, especially because I was out of the country making long distance phone calls to my home bank. All in all though, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Great place to stay near Blue Mosque
Great self service type apartment which is less than 5min from the Blue Mosque. This would be ideal for people who are staying a few nights as location is perfect for local attractions ie Blue Mosque, Ayah Sofya, Topkapi etc. The staff were all excellent and very helpful. We had Ekim arrange a taxi to meet us at the airport and the driver was there ready and waiting upon arrival. I wound definately recommend the taxi pickup from airport service as due to the thousands of small back streets.....at least you'll get to the apartment very quickly. Upon arrival the apartment was ready and very clean. It looked like it has recently been all updated from floors to ceilings, new fixtures and fittings, bathroom, kitchen etc. All in all for us as a family of 5 (kids 10, 7 and 3) it was perfect. Plenty of food places to eat within 5/10min walking distance. The only thing I would add is that the walk to the Blue Mosque area is a hill walk so would not recommend to OAPs but having said that Istanbul is very hilly on the whole:)

The apartment is in the less smart part of town but had a view of the Bosphorus. We came to really enjoy the neighborhood and felt very safe.The apartment is newly decorated and well equipped, and was serviced every day. Saban was very helpful and we loved Istanbul .

We booked this apartment for four of us freinds for one night as we had to travel to konya the next night, the staff were spot on we booked out transfer with them, on time at the airport soon as we got out we were taken stright to the apartment. The aprtment is virtually new, good heating system and ac for summer which we didnt use, but the good thing was it was about 2 muns walk from the main attractions. i would highly recommend this apartment to all those travelling value for money and conveinently located. As soon as I made my reservation, Saban (pronounced "Shaban") contacted me to make sure everything was ok and to find out if I needed a ride from the airport. As we got closer to the travel date, some of my plans changed and he was able to accomodate all the changes and took great care of me and the friends I traveled with. At the end, we ended up staying a newly renovated building that was much better than the original Ekim Apartments. The place had a kichenette, a large screen LCD tv, satellite, dishes, dining table, safe, private bath, appliances (microwave, coffee maker, water heater, portable stove, small fridge, etc.) The place was cleaned every day and even the tablecloth was replaced. I was very pleased with the place, the service, and the kindness of the people that I dealt with - including the small market owner down the street. Ah yeah, this apartment is very centrally located with inexpensive restaurants nearby, grocery stores, laundry place, and more. It was a few blocks from Sultanahmet (the blue mosque.)

Brilliant place to stay close to all Istanbul's top attractions. Clean & tidy, room serviced every day. Host very helpful. Will definitely return!!
