I recently had the pleasure of staying at Faros and my overall experience was nothing short of exceptional. The staff at Faros surpassed expectations with their warm hospitality and attentiveness. Every request was handled promptly, and their genuine dedication to guest satisfaction was evident throughout my stay. Hotel is centrally located and is 5 to 10 minutes walk from Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern and Topkapi Museum two minutes from the Sultanahmet tram station. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a blend of luxury, convenience, and impeccable service during their stay.

Stayed at the Faros in early October 2023 for a four night break. Really lovely staff and excellent location for major sights - easily walkable or tram stop very near by. Note: poor access by taxi if that is your preferred mode of transport as area is mostly pedestrianised. Not a problem if on foot or using the well priced and convenient tram. I used the coach from the IST airport to Aksaray (136 TL or about £4 each way) then walked the mile or so to the hotel. Could have used tram if I had bought an Istanbulkart but couldn't find a machine at the airport). Breakfast was good from the continental buffet, but you had to ask for tea or coffee. The restaurant had nice food at tourist rate prices. The only problems I encountered were noise and music at night until the early hours (restaurants at street level directly below). Also, I had booked a standard double room through Expedia but was given only a tiny single (room 106) with no other rooms available. The aircon failed after the second night. I'd definitely stay here again if I could guarantee getting the room I had paid for.

Such a charming little hotel with very friendly staff and a perfect situation. Unfortunately very let down by the cleanliness of the restaurant but mostly the rooms. The hotel is in desperate need of redecorating and will then be a very nice place to stay. Such a shame. I hope they get it right.

Stayed for 10 nights, loved the staff and the location is excellent. The outside restaurant is really great to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Omar the manager is also very helpful with tours and the best Turkish Hammam with a discount too. Will for sure stay during my next visit.

Great location. It’s lively and in the heart of Sultan Ahmet, close to the Grand Bazaar. The hotel is small but clean. I wouldn’t recommend for families with small children as it is a bit noisy when the trams go by. The breakfast is average. The staff are kind.

The rooms are a bit dated but have all the facilities required. The location of the property is exceptional. Tram/Market/Mosques everything is at walkable distance. Complimentary breakfast is the same everyday with very limited options. Also the staff serving breakfast is completely disinterested & generally have a grumpy face. Things which are finished are not refilled..

The staff are very helpful and informative. They explained about the tour and offer help if we wanted one. Room was okay and the breakfast is good too. Recommended place to stay if you want to be around the tourist attraction.

The hotel is in excellent location. You have the Sultanahmet Tram stop within yards, along with Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Serefiye Cistern etc all within walking distance. It's also walking distance to Eminonou where you can catch ferry to Kadikoy (Asian side) which is 20 minutes ride away. The whole area is steeped in so much history it's a shame that the information isn't easily available. All the staff are super friendly. Only got name of 2; Omer and Gunes. Gentleman on early morning duty (28th Feb) also was a great help. The ladies servicing the rooms are very good. Downside is the interior a bit dated especially bathroom. The balcony isn't large enough for sitting outside. The breakfast was very basic and same every morning. The music being played outside is loud and goes into late night. Not the hotels fault!

Front desk Service was great, very good breakfast, hotel itself is dated. Location is not very convenient for taxi drop off especially if you have luggage. Overall it was great! Could have been better if they had a buggy boy to help when luggages

Lovely hotel, perfect location, helpful staff, great breakfast. Hotel guest are getting a 15% discount on food and drinks in the restaurant. We felt very well looked after and enjoyed our stay. Rooms are comfortable and very clean but a bit tired. An additional non-news tv channel would have been appreciated. Definitely will stay there again.

The location of this property cannot be beat. Steps from the main attractions in Old Istanbul. Linens were clean and the AC was great which is always a plus in Istanbul in the summer. Breakfast was definitely great, and the shuttle to the airport was very reasonable. Some of the finishes were a little worn in the room, but all in all would stay here again for the location and size of the room.

Very close to center of Sultanahmed with good transportation options. Breakfast was OK. Continental with basic Mediterranean options. Rooms are fair/decent but an update would not hurt.
