Great hotel with a balconyPosted Aug 31, 2014
Me and my wife went to Turkey for our honeymoon and stayed at the Hotel Historia. The room we booked had a balcony that overlooked the sea which was excellent for cooling down during the hot days. The location of the hotel was GREAT, were close to restaurants and bars and 10 mins walk from the trams. The hotel provided us with breakfast buffet and the timing was great as we weren't morning risers. The staff were extremely friendly and the same can be said for the cleaners. I would recommend all to book from this hotel. The only bad point if I had to write one down is the tv was too small.

Fantastic location & Very friendly staffPosted Aug 23, 2014
We chose the hotel due to it's location which was perfect; it was within walking distance of both the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofia, Topkapi Palce & Sultanahmet tram stop. There are an abundance of restaurants near the hotel so plenty to choose from. The staff at the hotel were Fantastic & made our stay all the more enjoyable due to their wonderful hospitality & helpfulness.

Pros: Haluk, the concierge, is extremely friendly and helpful!
Cons: The carpeting is old and dirty in some of the rooms. Some of the bathrooms below the 4th floor are not very clean (the tile grout is grungy).
Location: It's 15 minute walk from the Old Bazaar, 5 min from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.
We loved the location and the friendly concierge. Breakfast is good, some days better than others. Rooms in the lower floors need renovation. We changed on the second night to the nicer rooms.

Pros: excellent location, very nice and friendly staffs
Location: Blue Mosque, Sultan Ahmed, Hagia Sophia, Arasta Bazaar, Grand Bazar, Sea side
We had a wonderful and unforgettable time at Historia hotel in Istanbul, the manager of the hotel and staffs were very friendly and professional. They helped us with everything, from hotel reservation, upgrading our room to sea view and daily plan for visiting all the historical places, tourist attractions, restaurants and Bazaars. Historia hotel is located in the middle of Sultanahmed which is the best locations for tourists. I highly recommend Historia hotel for you to stay in Istanbul!

Convenient location and good valuePosted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: Very helpful staff - arranged breakfast specially for us as we had to leave for early flight.
Cons: Bar area is a bit gloomy
Location: Loads! Dont eat at the nearby restaurants - very touristy and relatively expensive, look on line before travelling and you can easily find better
Clean and friendly hotel. Surprising number of rooms behind a tiny frontage in the main tourist area near Aya Sofia and the Sultanhamet (Blue) Mosque. Our room was very small, but had everything we needed - comfy beds, air con, endless hot water, tea making, fridge, TV, and free wi-fi. Outside terrace at the front and small area outside the breakfast room, which is nice if you don't want to pay the extra for a balcony/view. Quite generous breakfast (by the standards of the area). Also appreciated that they still had the heating on in mid-April, unlike a nearby hotel we used last time, which was very chilly. Only (slight) concern is that the walls and ceilings are thin, so there is a fair bit of noise from neighbouring rooms and corridors.

overall, very goodPosted Apr 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Booked hotel because of photo of balcony and location. Location couldn't be better, 3 mins walk from Blue Mosque. Photo misleading however - spent the first night in basement room with no view. Management were very apologetic and moved us to top floor on second night. Great breakfast!

Nice view from 6th floor. Really nice location as it is next to the blue mosque and local markets and restaurants. Loved the breakfast in the morning and the staff were brilliant
