“Great place to stay in Istanbul!”

Wonderful staff, very helpful for a first time visitor. The hotel is at a great location for getting to the main sites in Istanbul. The room was roomy and well appointed.

“Wow!”

This small hotel may have been the best one we've ever stayed in. Arriving hours before check-in time, they were warm and welcoming, offering us food and drinks, whisking away our luggage and helping us with advice about how to fill our morning. All of the old city's sites were just a few minutes walk away. The hotel's modern decor is striking and comfortable and the bathroom nearly a private spa. The breakfast buffet was amazing. It deserves to be on a list of some kind of special places to stay.

“Any better, and it would be home not hotel”

I reached the hotel from the airport by taxi at about 11:30AM. The gentleman at the front dek apologized profusely for the room not being ready (even though check-in time was 4:00PM), and invited me to have breakfast. The room was ready by the time I had finished my breakfast - which was a very elaborate spread of both western and Turkish dishes, and my luggage had already been taken up. Somebody actually went up with me to the room to make sure everything was to my satisfaction - and it was. The location was excellent - a beautiful walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofya, and just a little further to the Grand Bazaar and the Topkapi Palace. I couldnt have covered so much of Istanbul in a day but for this hotel. Definitely the place where I will stay when I go back.

“Would definetely go back!”

Istanbul is an awesome city and Amira Hotel was just great. The only drawback was our room being on the street level, so we would hear people walking by at all times. I would recommend that one asked for a room in an upper floor.

“Heart of Old City Istanbul”

The hotel was easy to find, convenient to walk about old town and get to our tour. Staff above and beyond. We arrived from ship at 10a.m. We were given a free breakfast, a room to stay in UNTIL our own room was ready. That is amazing. Hotel is lovely, staff wonderful! 5 stars

“Excellent hotel”

The Hotel Amira is an excellent hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Upon our arrival, we were provided with a personalized introduction to Istanbul. We were taken to the restaurant, offered a free drink of our choice, and then were instructed on how to get around, what sights to see, and possible places to eat. They have tram tokens at the front desk. When our eight-year-old daughter developed a bad cold, the man at the front desk told us where to find a pharmacy, and wrote down our daughter's symptoms in Turkish. The location is superb. It is only about a five minute walk to Hagia Sophia and the blue Mosque. There are plenty of places to eat and shop in the immediate vicinity. I am a very light sleeper, but even though our room was at street level facing the street, the hotel was soundproofed well. If I ever return to Istanbul, I don't know why I would stay anywhere else.
