Great hotel, locationPosted Oct 9, 2014
Pros: Location, amenities, quality
We only stayed one night here, but we loved this hotel. The service was fabulous, the hotel itself has incredibly nice furnishings, and the breakfast is excellent. We had a nice view of the Marmara Sea from the terrace. The only downside is how expensive the hotel is. Otherwise, location is great!

Great service, delicious breakfast.Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Service, breakfast, location
Cons: Looks a bit scruffy from the outside - a lick of paint would help.
Location: Close to many of the places that anyone would want to visit in the old town and 5 mins walk from the tram.
We stayed in Istanbul for 4 days and this proved to be an excellent base from which to explore this amazing city. Impossible to fault the attitude and friendliness of the staff; the breakfast was a delight to wake up to each morning and the location is really good. The standard rooms are pretty compact-but we only went back to sleep so it wasn't really a problem.

Fabulous place to stay!!!Posted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location.... service, service, service.... cleanliness, fabulous brunch and tea time at 5:30. The terrace is spectacular.
Location: Location is perfect. All the sights (St. Sofia, the Blue Mosque, etc.) are within walking district, as are many many restaurants.
We stayed at the Hotel Amira from September 5th to th 9th. Upon arrival we were greeted with a genuine welcome from the office staff and particularly A.J. (aka Robert Downey Jr.), who spent about an hour and a half with us explaining everything you need to know about Istanbul and the Hotel Amira, all whilst treating us to a wine and beer on the gorgeous rooftop terrace. The hotel was spotless, the room was great, not large but perfect for our needs. The staff literally could not do enough for you. I know you hear that a lot, but the service here was exceptional, at least 125%, by A.J. who took great care of us all week and the other office staff (whose names I unfortunately don't have), the doormen, the bartenders/breakfast room servers. Each and everyone gave 125% and made you feel like you were the only guest there..... and we weren't.

So helpful and so convenientPosted Aug 27, 2014
A genuine boutique hotel perfectly positioned 2 minutes' walk from the awesome Bosphorus and 10 minutes' steady stroll to the doubly awesome heart of the Old City. The rooftop terrace, with views over the Bosphorus, is to die for. Could have stayed there all week! Our room was spacious, clean and well provisioned with boutique-style decor and furnishings. Breakfast buffet is a brilliant celebration of local fresh ingredients (loved the dripping honeycomb) and baking. The complimentary afternoon tea offered a very civilised way of winding down after a hot day's sightseeing. The greatest thing about this lovely hotel, though, is its staff. Unfailingly friendly and helpful but discreet and unintrusive, they engage with individual guests immediately through a warm and welcoming introductory drink and orientation discussion. Doesn't have all of the facilities of a big hotel but more than makes up for that in so many other ways. We'd definitely choose the Amira again.

Great location and excellent staff!Posted Aug 24, 2014
We had the great pleasure of staying Hotel Amira on a recent trip to Istanbul. The location is great - less than 10 minute walk to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofya. Fantastic views from the rooftop lounge. Wonderful afternoon tea. And the staff is excellent - friendly, extremely helpful. I would definitely stay there next time I visit. One of my better hotel experiences.

Lovely hotel in SultanahmetPosted Aug 20, 2014
These guys go above and beyond! High attention to detail and prompt friendly service, if you're a solo female traveller they also keep the creeps away. Breakfast is impeccable with loads of fresh food choices, cereal, cold meats, cheese, nuts, fruits and bread and a plethora of preserves. I stayed in the single room with Queen Bed, loved it!! Did not want to leave the room! Terrace is nice, no real view though and no pool - didn't get a chance to hit the fitness centre but I'm sure it'd suffice, all I know is there's a jacuzzi down there, so try to make the time, unlike myself! Honestly, if you're in Fatih, treat yourself and book here :)

Beautiful small hotel. The stuff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Very good breakfast and a complimentary tea in the afternoon. Location is perfect -five minutes to all the major attractions. Stayed in the hotel just for one night -had 24 hours layover in Istanbul. Everything was just perfect
