Well situated close to tourist attractions.Posted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: The proximity to the shops and restaurants.
Cons: Re-classify the rooms to accommodate a suitable number of people in the space available.
Location: There was a very good selection of restaurants and tourist shops within 200 metres. A tram stop was about 500 metres away.
The hotel has a very welcoming, if slightly dated, reception area. The breakfast room is brightly decorated and serves a excellent breakfast however our room was very disappointing as it was far too small to be classed as a double room. The bed was pushed against the wall and there was nowhere to put any clothing other than a very small wardrobe. Beneath the window, behind a desk,a wooden radiator cover had come off the wall but the large nails were still sticking out and catching on the curtains making more holes in them. The bathroom was tiny -the width of the double bed - with a shower which was no more than 60 centimetres square with a very narrow opening to get in and out. The wash hand basin had no plug but toiletries were provided. The position of the hotel was close to a tram station and also well within walking distance of the main tourist attractions. It was well priced and we were only in the hotel to sleep -though it was next to a building site - obviously out with the control of the hotel. The view from the roof terrace where they served tea, was outstanding.

It's in the middle of all the main points interestPosted Oct 3, 2013
Pros: The location
Cons: I don't realize anything
Location: The points of interest of the old city, everything is there
I like it in the first moment that I get there, everything around is wonderfull: restaurants, buses, mesquites, museums, etc, I really love the neighborhood the only thing is that our room was really, really small, I don't know if all the rooms are the same size.

old town istanbulPosted Sep 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Loved this hotel, clean and well located within walking distance to the mosques aya sofia and sultan ahmet, to the grand bazaar and to the bosphorous. The tram line to travel further. Lots of places to eat around the hotel, a supermarket a street away. Take note of construction next door for the new train metro station, if your windows are open you will get no sleep! Top floor restaurant has beautiful views of the bridge and across the bosphorous. Great hotel for a tourist in Istanbul.

Not 4 star! Should be 2 star!Posted May 31, 2013
Cons: the star rating as i chose the hotel based on it.
This hotel should never be rated as 4 star. 2 star would be more appropriate. My first room, the airconditioning was broken and their was a big piece of it on the desk. Initially I was told that the man would come to fix the aircon, but he didn't. I met someone else there who was also given my room and had complained and after demanding their money back got the move. My second room had problems with the door lock and it was difficult to use the key. On the positive side, the breakfast was very good and the evening meal if you took the set meal up top was reasonable value for money and the view was great from the top dining room.

Great Family HotelPosted Apr 13, 2013
Pros: Excellent location with a suite which catered for two adults and two children
Location: Excellent location - Ayasofia, Bule mosque, Grand & Spice Bazzar and Galata Bridge all within walking distance from hotel
Well run hotel in an excellent location in Sirkici. All the major attractions are within walking distance. The tram stop is nearby. There are also numerous dining places and shops within close vicinity. We stayed in a suite which was ideal for the children, as they had their own room (sofa bed & single bed). There are some major building works adjacent to the hotel - but this was a very minor inconvenience to our stay.

Good location and breakfastPosted Apr 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Reasonably priced hotel close to the main sights. The breakfast was good but wasn't served from the roof terrace like we'd expected. The room was an ample size and clean.

Small roomsPosted Apr 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Although this hotel is situated next to the old city, yet its small rooms are more suitable for ants than for human beings..a jail cell is much bigger than their rooms

Beautiful and elegant hotelPosted Nov 9, 2012 on Hotels.com
There was an initial confusion over the room, my 3 friends and I had booked a suite so we could all be together but they tried to put us in two tiny twin rooms, we had to insist that we had our suite and they eventually gave it to us, but only after an hours persistant arguing!!! Apart from this, the food was excellent, the hotel room comfortable and spotless and the location was a short walk from all the sights! I would definately go there again (room choice depending!).
