Nice hotel close to Blue MosquePosted Aug 14, 2014
This little hotel is very well maintained, spotless clean, with amazingly helpful staff. They advised us about everything and booked us transportation and tours. The room was nice (maybe a little smaller than we might need for three persons, but we didn’t spend too much time in), with own air conditioning unit, with a nice bath (shower). The only downsize was that we couldn’t get the wifi in the room. We could access the internet only in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was well garnished and served on the roof terrace. The view was amazing there, day or night.

I'd returnPosted Jul 18, 2014
Excellent location. A very comfortable and pleasant hotel. Rooms were clean and adequate. We had a front room but did notice that some of the other rooms did look smaller. Whilst the breakfast itself was quite ordinarily, the breakfast area on the roof had amazing views. The hotel offered free wi-fi in the foyer area only. The staff were particularly helpful and friendly. This is not a five star hotel, however, we very much enjoyed our stay here and would very gladly return - the stay was very comfortable and the location could not be better.

Very Comfortable, well-located hotelPosted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Staff, ample breakfast, cleanliness.
Location: This is the most interesting part of Istanbul, near to many important sights. It was a good vantage point to observe the citizens observing Ramadan.
Hotel Saba is in a great location in Sultanhamet, Istanbul's Old City. The room was comfortable and we had a good view from the 4th floor. Breakfast on the open 5th floor includes yogurt, tomatoes, cucumbers, bread, cheeses, eggs, cake and watermelon. The coffee is not bad and there are also tea and juice. The AC and TV worked well, but there are just 2 non-Turkish channels.

Pros: its location
Location: it is close to everything.

Forget WiFi in your roomsPosted May 17, 2014
Pros: friendly staff and room service was fine
Cons: WiFi service is REQUIRED in the rooms.
Location: Location is great, centrally located in Sultanamehet right next to the Blue Mosque and other attractions and easy to commute between hotel and airport
The hotel has WiFi facility only in the lobby area which was out of order when I checked in. They fixed the wifi and still no reception in the rooms and apparently its only for the lobby area. This is a terrible. Hotel staff is really friendly and the breakfast food is good too. Its too pricy compared to the quality of service.

Brilliant locationPosted May 14, 2014
Pros: The location, it was clean and tidy
Cons: The beds were uncomfortable and the rooms without a view were dark and not very welcoming.
Location: Location could not be better with amazing views of the Blue Mosque from the Breakfast terrace.
The hotel was basic. It was clean and tidy and the staff were helpful. Our room was very hot, when we enquired about the air conditioning we were told it was not the season for the air conditioning to be turned on. We discovered however that it was the air conditioning unit in our bedroom that was broken. We asked for a change of rooms and were given a small room with 2 single beds on opposite walls - not very romantic but at least we could cool the room.

Excellent location!Posted May 11, 2014
Assad and all staff were very pleasant and helpful. Some rooms are small so an upgrade is advisable. The hotel is 20 or so feet from the hippodrome and the views of the blue mosque from the hotel roof terrace are unbeatable. Hotel is located within walking distance of pretty much everything.

A small comfy hotel with friendly staff.Posted May 8, 2014
Pros: quiet, clean hotel with friendly staff.
Location: Is in the heart of sultanahmet with all popular sightseeing locations at a short walking distance. We used the tram/metro to get around further afield
We had a pleasant time at the Saba hotel. The bedroom was of a decent size and they provided a small children's bed for our 3 year old with still plenty of space. We had a small cofee table and room had kettle and selection of tea's available on arrival. breakfast was great and included fresh yogurt, selection of bread, salads, egg, fresh jams, olives, and variety of cheeses and meet. The view from the terrace was beautiful as we could see the blue mosque and bosphorus sea. The weather was overcast for a few days but despite this we had a brilliant time. The one negative comment would be about room aircon. Despite temperatures of around 16 degrees outside it did get too warm overnight. Overall would recommend this hotel.

Quaint and QuietPosted May 8, 2014
Pros: very friendly staff; quiet rooms; great WiFi in the lobby; great location; clean rooms; secure access
Cons: Towel holders in bathrooms not fastened properly. They could hurt us if they had fallen on our feet. No WiFi in the room. Offer queen bed to marrieds
Location: At the corner of the Hippodrome and very close to the Blue Mosque; close to all of the main sites in Sultanamhet area; including a walk to the ocean.
We stayed at the hotel for two nights, enjoyed our stay, and would go back there again. It is in a very good location and within very close walking distance to all of the major tourist sites; the closest of them being the Blue Mosque. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. My wife and I were disappointed that we had a room with separate beds but we were too tired from our travels to ask them about it. The following day we noticed that the room across from us had a single queen sized bed. We were disappointed that we were not offered that room. Each morning, we enjoyed breakfast in the rooftop dining area overlooking the hippodrome and a view of the ocean. That was pretty cool. However, the food was not labeled and the kitchen help spoke no English so we did not know what a lot of it was. Maybe that's asking too much in a foreign country, but the food was good.

Great location and the food was good.Posted Apr 25, 2014
Spent 10 days in istanbul with my 2 children. The location was great. Reception staff were polite and helpful. I was disappointed with the cleaners I felt if I dont leave a tip then the cleaning wasnt done properly. I believe that you get a tip if the service is great. Everyone should be treated equally not if you dont pay you dont get. The money I paid for the hotel should cover the service. Any tips is a bonus not a must. Had a great time in istanbul.
