Pros: The breathtaking view from terrace --not to mention the perfect breakfast!
Location: All the must-see places in Sultanahmet district, the Blue Mosque - Hagia Sophia - Topkapi Palace - the Cistern, are in a short walking distance.
A nice, cosy hotel --one feels welcome the moment one steps in. It is in a livelly neighborhood with many restaurants and shops.

A little gem of a hotel
Posted Jan 29, 2013
Pros: The location is superb
Cons: The rooms are slightly on the small side
Location: Perfect location within walking distance of the main tourist attractions
Lovely small boutique hotel situated in the middle of old town Istanbul. Small rooms however, Very clean and all staff very friendly and helpful. The roof top terrace was the "icing on the cake." Superb to sit and relax with a drink after a day of sightseeing and also to start off the day with a lovely breakfast on the rooftop. Lovely choice of restaurants on the doorstep. I was very impressed with the quality and variety of food served and also very good value.

Good Location in Old City
Posted Jan 19, 2013
Pros: Small number of rooms - personalized service. Good breakfast. Excellent location.
Cons: No refrigerator in room, but probably not enough room for one.
Location: Strategically located near Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Close to light rail.
We enjoyed our stay. Regular rooms are quite small, but adequate. With marble hallways, etc., noise seems to carry, but otherwise very quiet. Very good breakfast on upper terrace. Staff is very helpful and kind.

Wonderful hotel in the centre of Istanbul

Lovely comfortable hotel in a quiet street, but right in the centre of Istanbul. Fantastic views of the Blue Mosque and Ayasophia from the roof terrace.

Very nice and central hotel

Pros: Location, cleanliness, breakfast, staff
Cons: Elevator stop one (short) flight of stairs above reception - it is an old building and the lift is retrofitted; I guess it cannot be helped.
Location: It is in Sultanahment district with Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Underground Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Gulhane Park, Archaeology Museum - we walked there.
Staff was very polite and helpful, always. The night before we left, they assembled our breakfast food on a plate and kept in a fridge, so that next morning we could have our breakfast at 4 am. The hotel is in ten-minute walking distance from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia, as well as a tram stop (Sultanahmet). In the mornings, while having breakfast, we could see the Bosporus Strait on one side and Blue Mosque Minarets - on the other. The room was on a smallish side (we had smaller in Paris) and a bit dated (we really did not mind), but comfortable enough and very clean. We spent very enjoyable eight days here.

Clean hotel in ideal location
Posted Jan 16, 2013
Location: Location was ideal for tourist sites and for local restaurants. Lots of good restaurants within just a block.
We had an enjoyable stay at the Sari Konak. It's very clean, the staff is friendly, the location is perfect, the roof deck is to die for on a sunny day, and the breakfast buffet was large and varied.

Excellent location for a city break.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Sari Konak but would have preferred to be on one of the upper floors; on the first floor there was quite a lot of noise from Reception and people walking past our room. Everything else about the hotel was very good and it was in a great location.
