great little hotel in the middle of everything

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Spent 8 nights at Hotelino with my wife. excellent staff and great service. owner went out of their way each morning to give all the guests tips and advice on Istanbul. nice breakfast provided each morning. hotel is centrally located to pretty much all the tourist things you want to see and do. rooms are nice, but more importantly quiet as istanbul is a noisy city. Restaurants in Istanbul are generally bad as is most Turkish food. Esmer Chef is a good and cheap restaurant and the only one we ate at more than once . . don't pay to take the elevator to the top of Gallata tower and use that money instead to buy lunch at one of the rooftop cafes next to the tower with the same fantastic views taxis are cheap and sometimes cheaper than the tram system, which is generally good. don't leave Istanbul without trying turkish pudding or figs with honey and walnuts at Mustafas.

Walking distance to all the major sites

Posted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: Exceptionally helpful staff
Location: I would recommend the basilica cistern. The Sultanahmet sites are all close by, but be prepared to queue for ticket purchase, the crowds were large!
I was so impressed with this little hotel. Arriving ridiculously early from the airport, despite being full they made up an early departure's room for me by 7am and offered me an additional breakfast "on the house", as well as spending time with me to ensure I knew exactly where things of interest were / recommendations etc, also lending me a travel card that could be topped up for use on the trams or other public transport - not that I needed it.

Wonderful hotel - great location in Sirkeci.

Posted May 17, 2014
Pros: Clean, cozy, friendly.
Location: Quick walk to Sirkeci stations, good access to the main must-see sites.
I stayed at Hotelino Istanbul for 3 nights in May 2014. They were kind enough to add one extra bed at the last moment (almost midnight) for my brother in law. Very friendly staff and services, clean everywhere, and homy atmosphere all made our stay in Istanbul a very comfortable one. During breakfast, the owner couple talked to every customer gave advices about what to see and how - thanks to them we could cover most of the sites we wanted to go to in 2 days. I do recommend this hotel for anyone planning to go to the beautiful city of Istanbul.

Hotel made famous by a Korean TV program

One of the most bang for the buck hotels. Friendly staff, clean room, nice breakfast, and a Korean TV show to talk about.

The hotel is centrally located and near all the attractions. The rooms are very comfortable and the daily breakfast is fresh and delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. And most importantly, the owner of the hotel "Mine", pronounced "Mineh", is very gracious and always helpful with things to do, see and eat. Always a map in hand and a smile on her face. She's the ultimate, awesome host. This was my second stay at this fabulous hotel and I'm certain there will be a third.

Location: Excellent location. 5 minutes walk to Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace, Hagia Sofia. 4 minute walk to main tram station.
I had an amazing experience in Istanbul. Hotel was great, in terms of location and cleanliness. Staff very nice with us and very helpful. I cannot wait to return to Istanbul, and I'd certainly stay in the same hotel if/when I do.

One night overlay. Takes about 35 min from Ataturk by cab (50.- TL). Hotel is newer, staff very friendly and helpful. Location, you have to walk around the block to find nicer area. All in all, it was ok for one night. Next time I'll stay closer to airport.
