“Excellent choice”

We really enjoyed the location, service and overall experience. The employees spoke English, were very helpful and made the trip part of a very enjoyable vacation.

“Istanbul's Jewel”

The Lady Diana Hotel truly surpassed all expectations and for three key reasons. Number one, the view, sitting atop their indoor/outdoor pation provides one of the best views of the Blue Mosque that you can get anywhere.....truly spectacular! Second is location, not only a mere 5 minutes from the Blue Mosque but so close to countless eating establishments. And third, the staff and hospitality, so very kind and willing to be the perfect host. When we planned our July, 2010 Middle East journey we chose ro stay at the Lady Diana as we began our trip, then to simplify things, booked another stay a couple of weeks later upon our return......a very wise decision. Only word of advice....on both occasions our taxi drivers had a bit of difficulty finding the hotel so simply tell them only minutes from the Blue Mosque then cross your fingers. Bottom line, sitting on top of their rooftop patio overlookong the Marmara Sea and Blue Mosque.....it doesn't get any better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“great location”

Nice view from the roof. Very well maintained. the only thing I missed was a dresser or a bit more furniture. But good value for the money

“Gender Neutral”

This is one of a number of very nice small hotels in the Sultanahmet (old city) section of Istanbul, that are all located near the major tourist attractions, all seem to provide breakfast on the roof, turkish baths/massage services and pleasant rooms and service, and I picked this one from the internet due to its four star rating and the bargain promotional rate available on the dates I was interested in. The room was fairly small, but comfortable; although the bed was quite low to the floor and the mattress fairly hard. But it was fine. The only odd thing--and I recognize that this is probably ridiculous to even mention--is the name of the hotel (Lady Diana) made me as (a male) feel like I was staying at a "womens' hotel" (it's not, it's gender neutral), you know, like the Barbizon? particularly when someone would ask me where I was staying. "Where are you staying?" "Oh, the Lady Diana." "Huh?"

“Great terrace for views of the Blue Mosque”

Great hotel just off the main drag in Sultanamet. Easy walking distance to all the main attractions - Blue Mosque, Grand Bazzar and Topkapi. Would recommend as hotel is clean and welcoming. Breakfast an absolute treat, food good and views to remember.

“Great Location”

The hotel location was great! It was a bit hard to find at midnight though. Thank God for the friendliness of the local people, we were pointed in the right direction. The breakfast was great although it was overshadowed by the view from the top roof dining area. It was spectacular! The people were friendly and helpful!

Excellent location, wonderful view! Had a room in the floor corner - it was very good and relatievly big. Everything was perfect.

“Great location, quality hotel”

Great location near the old monuments, clean rooms, free internet and good service. No complaints. Istanbul is also a great city to visit - lots of history and a progressive Muslim community. The breakfast is also first class with an outstanding view of the city from the roof.

“A wonderful Hotel”

A very nice clean , friendly hotel,with a wonderful view over the Blue Mosque and City. Situated right in the heart of old Istanbul, just right for walking to all sightseeing areas. Hotel staff very knowledgeable with trips etc. Very good breakfast with a nice evening meal menu, competitively priced. Had a wonderful stay there and would not hesitate to recommend it.

“I like the hotel and the surrounding area”

I loved Istanbul too much, Lady Diana Hotel was cosy and near the hagia sophia, the bue mosque and Top Qapi, you can go walking to any of them. the roof top restaurant has a beautiful view, the service in it is very good.
