Nice hotel close to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque.

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Clean hotel. Fridge in the room was cool! Located in a quiet area away from the hustle/bustle.
Cons: A kettle in the room would have been nice.
Location: Close to places of interest in Istanbul. Many places of interest walking distance others easily reached by tram.
Hotel close to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Walking distance to Grand Bazaar. Easy to take tram to other interesting places around the area e.g Bosphorus. Hotel staff were really helpful and friendly. My 12 yr. old daughter was too lazy to get up for breakfast (8 - 10:30 am), so I put some breakfast in a plate for her to take back to the room, the staff didn't mind at all. On one day it rained very heavily during the evening and I wanted some coffee, the hotel staff very kindly brought me some coffee free of charge. Hotel was clean and breakfast was varied with e.g cereals, olives, bread, juice, meat slices, coffee, tea, fruit, cakes etc. Always fresh and tasty. The stay in Istanbul was wonderful and Turkey is lovely and cosmopolitan, interestingly both religious and secular country at the same time. If I ever return to Istanbul again I will choose this hotel again!

Close to Blue Mosque/ Ayosafia/Topkapi

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, close to blue mosque and al attractions, quiet alley, clean,
Cons: This would be quite picky but a lift would ave been good especially with children, but we were on the first floor so not realy much hassel.
Location: 7 minutes walk from Blue mosque, Mcdonalds, Burger King 10-15 minutes walk, Ayasofia/Topkapi 15 minutes, Grand Bazar 15- 20 minute walk.
We took our two boys aged 5 and 2 and we had a wonderful experience, the hotel was situated on a quite side street which was around 7 minutes walking distance to Blue Mosque. We took the stroller for our 2 year old and this worked a treat, the hotel room was spacious, clean and cleaned daily. Breakfast was ok with a selection of cereals, fruit, drinks, tea and cakes. The staff were extremely helpful and each night we asked for milk for our youngest they supplied it. Nothing was too much to ask. Hotel staff speak little English but they made our stay very comfortable. There is free Wi-Fi and computer in the lobby so you can easily Google or check emails. The hotel is close enough to walk but far enough to avoid the hustle and bustle of the trade. Call to prayer is early and if you are a Muslim then this is perfect if not you get used to it! We had Istanbul donner on our first night and the kids didn't enjoy it much, the remainder of the holiday was McDonalds and Burger King! Both of these are not far from the blue mosque and walking distance. Service at these restaurants is not brilliant. It was 30 degrees for most of our stay so lots of sun cream. It did rain very heavily on one day so check the forecast before you leave each morning. All in all a wonderful city to explore and a perfect hotel to stay in. Although it says it is 3 star I would say the service and spacious layout would give a 4* hotel a run for its money. I will be back soon

Very comfortable

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Mattress, bathroom, & location
Cons: Toiletries (shampoo, etc) need to be restocked over a four-night period
Location: Close to everything in Sultanahmet (mosque, Aya Sofia, Topkapi, etc.)
If you're looking for a comfortable and relatively-quiet-but-well-located place to sleep, this may be the hotel for you. The room wasn't too small, the mattress good, and the shower excellent (and not teeny tiny as I've encountered in other Istanbul hotels.) I emailed the hotel beforehand about a middle-of-the-night arrival, and staff responded promptly.

Very nice hotel close to everything u need

Posted Jun 10, 2014
Pros: Staff are very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and to modern standard with air condition. Breakfast was sufficient with lots of choices.
Cons: Nothing but just a little advice rubbish bin in the room and although it is a non smoking room the smoke comes to the room.
Location: It is in a perfect location. it is in a waking distance to the major and main attractions i.e the blue mosque, the palace, amnesties and tram stop.
The hotel is in a walking distance to Blue mosque and the palace. We walked everywhere as it is very close to most of the attractions. We stayed in a family room. The room is very clean with air condition. The staff were wonderful. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and when you ask for any advice they give you impartial options to make up your own decision. We will definitely will be back and recommend to anyone.

We stayed here for 5 days and it was brilliant. It's a small hotel close to the blue mosque. In a quiet district. The staff were extremely friendly, the rooms are well furnished and breakfast options were great. Would definitely stay there again

Comfortable,small, quiet, friendly hotel.

Posted May 12, 2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff led by Eyub. Spacious room. Quiet but central location.
Cons: Perhaps information in the room about local restaurants etc
Location: Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Arasta Bazaar (carpets),Marmora shore and city walls, Topkapi Palace - all within 15 minutes walk.
We have just returned from five days in Istanbul and were very pleased with the Lalinn Hotel. Despite being less than ten minutes walk from major tourist attractions such as the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, this hotel, in a tiny cul-de-sac, was wonderfully quiet at night. Despite being a small hotel our room was large, well furnished and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were particularly helpful and there was always someone on hand to help with problems or queries. This was very good value for money.

Good Guest House That's Overrated for the Price

Posted Apr 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
Although the Lalinn is on the outskirts of the Sultanahmet neighborhood and only a 10-minute walk from the Blue Mosque, it's in an iffy neighborhood on the railroad tracks that felt safe during the day, but uncomfortable after dark. Our room was cramped for a family of four, with two single beds and a queen. We were on the floor above ground level), and were thankful for the safe, for the windows didn't have locks. Light, diaphanous curtains blocked out the sun, but another set of heavy curtains only covered half the windows. Everything was clean, though, and there was plenty of light, and although the pillows were too big, we received smaller ones when we requested them. The shower was fine, but often went from hot to cold for no reason. The upside was the manager, who spoke good English and was informative and welcoming. The breakfast, however, was disappointing. The small breakfast noon had only four tables and felt cramped. The eggs were cold and the milk for the cereal was warm. Toast was plentiful, as were an assortment of Turkish cheeses and such. So Lalinn was a good place to stay, but not a great one, especially for the price, which was about $300 a night. You can often get a great hotel in most American cities for the same price. In fact, Lalinn reminded me more of the guesthouses that I used to stay in twenty-five years ago when I was backpacking across Asia: fine for $100 a night or less, but otherwise very overpriced.

Hotel at the heart of Sultan Ahmet

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: The hotel was very clean and staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: The lighting in the room could be improved as well as provide tea and coffee in the bedroom.
Location: All the main tourist attractions are nearby. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, The Grand Bazaar, Bosporus Bridge, and the Metro Service.
Me and my wife stayed at Lalinn for 5 nights. Our stay was extremely pleasing where the staff at the hotel were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is located at a brilliant location with all the main tourist attractions a few minutes away. The tram line is very close too, with restaurants nearby.
