Great location, tiny roomPosted Sep 30, 2012 on Hotels.com
This hotel is conveniently located near the major sites in the old city of Istanbul. It's clean and the staff are friendly. However, the rooms are very tiny; the bathroom barely accomodates one person. The stairs are tight and twisty. This hotel is a renovated hostel and it shows. Additionally, while the Sultanahmet mosque (aka Blue Mosque) is lovely to view from one's hotel room be aware that the early morning call to prayer makes sleeping in somewhat difficult when staying here. It's not a bad place but far from luxurious and there are many other options in the historic old city of Istanbul.

I felt like I had an Istanbul family.Posted Oct 4, 2011
As a solo traveler, it was a gift to stay at this hotel. The owner and staff were fantastic. The atmosphere welcoming. The location was perfect for touring and on a funky street. Breakfast was set up as a buffet of hard boiled eggs, cheese, veggies and bread. Coffee and tea were served to the tables out front. Amazing evenings enjoying tea and water pipes with the owner Mehmet and other guests. I had a single room on the third floor. It was simple, clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was classic older Turkish style - so prepare yourself for that. Do not let it throw you off. Having the shower head in the middle of the bathroom with no curtain is functional - honest. Air conditioner worked well. I did not want to leave after my week stay.
