The client visiting our property second time.Guest does not follow hotel rules. He wants to take his friends he brought from outside to his room even though it is forbidden. We had the same problem with this guest before. Although he knows the hotel rules and is not satisfied, he should be asked why he came again. The guest must either follow the hotel rules or find another place to stay.

Very bad property, looks nothing like the pictures, its located in a very bad are, even though we were 2 guys we still were scared to leave our room at night.

Don’t book this place. Place in the back streets and six days there it was never cleaned. The toilets flood if you take a shower and if you decide to wash your hands the sinks leaks badly and floods the toilet. You easily see underneath the bed what was left by the previous occupant months ago. It is very noisy and not safe. They charge me quite some money for a pig whole. There is never anybody to reach out to in case of emergency or even simple queries.

Dear guest. Actually we tried to find who you are. It would be better for us if you mentioned your name. So we knew which room you were in, and we would check that room. But we would like to give you the following answers. In our facility, 5 personnel work as a shift, so there are people you can reach 24 hours a day. Another issue is that the rooms are cleaned daily and it is impossible for you not to enter your room for 6 days. You say you have flooded your bathroom but we didn't understand why you didn't ask for room change when you were in the facility. We don't know what your expectation is, but this is an economic facility where we sell around 20-25 EUR for the winter period. We work with many wholesale agents in the world. These companies check our hotel periodically. As bad as you mentioned, there is no chance of a serious facility. of course, we may have errors, but we find your comment exaggerated and deliberate.

i don't recommend this hotel to anyone , upon checkin my reservation was not in the hotel system , then the checkin process took more than 15 minutes , the receptionist assigned me in bad small room with the worst view , bedlight were missing , the phone was not working , the smell from the washroom , housekeeping attendant was not trained to knock the door or ask the permission before entering to the room

Convenient location - near to Taksim Square
We were received by the very helpful Mr Hassan - who was extremely cooperative. All our needs were catered to and we had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Will definitely recommend Lemon Residence to all fellow travellers going to Istanbul for either a short or long stay.

Wifi was too slow and I couldn't use any , Area a bit unsafe , Close to Taksim , Clean room , Small hotel , No view , Most of the lights were not work , No drinking water at room , Blankets and bedsheets was not clean and some dirty points on the bedsheets

Terrible neighborhood
Did not feel safe. Heard machine gun fire one night and lots of yelling in the alley outside. Whole place reeked of cifarette smoke. There was rarely ever anyone at the front desk. No food or water provided. Ended up moving to the Santa Ottoman hotel on the other side of the road, closer to the Istaklal. Stay safe and book elsewhere!

Istanbul Weekend - Lemon Residence
The hotel was in a good location and staff were friendly and helpful. The Cleanliness was satisfactory but the best and the rugs did need to be deep cleaned as one could see the dirt. Sleep wise wasn't great because of the loud noises the fridge made throughout the night. The TV did not work either, but as I was barely there it didn't bother me and I'm sure if I had asked the staff would have been attentive in getting this fixed.

I wouldn't call it a hotel, it consisted of about 10 small rooms, but it has all the amenities you could get for that price. The staff was very nice people, they would address our concerns immediately. I couldn't find safety box in my room and I told them this was what I read over the internet. So they installed one in my room! They speak English fluently. I was shocked at first by seeing the quality of the hotel, but the nice and kind staff changed my attitude after two days. Plus, I heard many bad experiences with hotel in the same price range in Istanbul, that I felt I was lucky that everything went smoothly in Lemon Residence. The hotel is overall clean, comparing to city. The hotel was close to taksim square. If you don't have luggage, walk to the hotel from metro and avoid taxi drivers. Or, simply arrange a tax with hotel for pick up and drop off the airport. The service is really safe and cheap, comparing to taxi drivers. and payment is through hotel. The hotel is located near tourism attractions of Istkilal street. and you can hear the noises all the night. If you need a quiet place to sleep, don't count on this hotel, or decide not to bother yourself to go to bed. Next to the hotel, in a very narrow street, there are ALWAYS a group of men drinking tea and playing cards. They make noises, but make you feel safe when you pass that narrow alley at nights. what else? you can find grocery stores and liquor store close by. and free drinking water and coffee in hotel.

Very convenient location, only stay one night after my cruise and I was able to see a lot in the old city of Istanbul. Took the big red bus for city tour, took the cruise tour to get a closer look on all buildings along the Golden Horn.

Hats off to Mehmet. Very supportive and responsive. Experienced power outage twice but got fixed on same day to go to lively Istiklal Street nightly, you'd have to walk/run across a dangerous highway leading to/from the tunnel. Otherwise, walk uphill and get across the top of the tunnel.

The staff were very nice and helpful. Great kudos to them. The hotel is simple and clean and just off the beaten path. Unfortunately, it is located on a darkened street that feels a bit unsafe for traveling women.

Amazing for low budget! definitely recommend it
I am very happy to have chosen this hotel, Mehmet made my stay very enjoyable. the location is great, its less than 2 mins walk from Istiklal street. it was a bit difficult to find the hotel at first, but then, its very simple. Room was very clean, service amazing, Mehmet was great help in terms of recommending places to go, and how to get around the city. I gave this hotel a total 5 stars rating, and will defenitely stay there again upon my return to Istanbul.

...it is just a 'cheap pension" sold expensive !!
This is just a 10 rooms "pension" in the very old neighbourhood of Taksim. I have paid 70 Euro/night, while after due evaluation it should be priced 40-45 max. The room was cleaned but the type of furniture and appliances are on the "cheap' side. Free Internet worked fine. A great Tks to the day shift manager who is very kind and cooperative. A plus point is about Istiklala Caddesi, the shopping street and and the typycal fish market, where plenty of small restaurants serving delicious food is there. If I would book same 'Pension' again? Well...I dont think so ! Cheers

The room I stayed in was split level, with a bed on each so could be good for families if you want a bit of space from the kids. Everything was clean though the TV did not seem to be working. Not a big deal for me as i was only there 1 night and didnt do anything about it. The Immediate neighborhood does look a little sketchy but I never felt unsafe. Overall location is good, plenty of bars and eating options within a 15 min walk.

First Impressions....
When you arrive here, especially at night as we did, you really wonder. Small dark alley, old run down buildings. So the faint of heart beware. But Lemon residence is nice, wonderful staff. It is just across the main road from a very fun, trendy area. You can walk there (Taksim) down through Beyoglu, past Galata Tower, over Bridge and to Plaka area. We enjoyed walking over the metro...just make sure you have a map.

what an amazing hotel !
i stayed there 6 days , my trip to Istanbul was amazing , but thanks to the comfortable and good location hotel , rooms were extra clean , staff were absolutely friendly specially Mohammed , very helpful . they make you feel like home . ask him for turkish coffee in the morning and let him prepare you toasted bread :)

Excellent location, quite and clean
If you are looking to stay in a quite place in Taksim this location will be the best choice, it is on the other side of a main street from the bars and clubs so you dont hear any noise while it is a 1-2 minutes walking distance to istiklal street. Hotel staff is very helpful, the owner mehmet will be there for most of your visit and he is willing to help you get around istanbul and show you where to get the best deals and what areas to avoid etc... The hotel strategy is to spend extra money on the cleanliness of the rooms, there is a cleaning lady per five rooms while other hotels have one per 20 on average. Overall a good strategy to get customers satisfied.

Hotel staff are nearly perfect, cannot get any better. This overcompensates for poor location and grossly inflated four star rating. Do not recommend for families.

Beim einchecken haben wir ein anderes Hotel bekommen, obwohl wir ja lemon residence gebucht hatten. Die Zimmer war nicht sauber, die Bettwäsche hatte Flecken, das Bad hat gestunken und in der Dusche kam das Wasser aus jeder Ecke rausgeschossen! Nicht empfehlenswert!
