Cheap stay close to TaksimPosted Nov 11, 2013
Pros: Cost. Very cheap for a studio. You also get your own kitchen, which means that you can cook.
Cons: Definitely the windows and the cleaning. Windows should be more sound proof given the location and also please make sure the gate locks.
Location: Taksim Square is two blocks away and from there you can go anywhere in Istanbul.
No. 10 Taksim Studios is a good place to stay if you want very cheap accommodation in a central location. It must be one of the cheapest places to stay in central Istanbul and it fit our needs, as we were doing business in Istanbul for a week. However, I will point out that we had several issues is the specific location. It's a dodgy area and you don't want to be walking around alone at night. We heard loads of fights and arguments being held just at our doorstep. The windows are not soundproof, so we were also waken up numerous times by either people, cats, or the garbage truck (there is a dumping area literally next to the building). Our biggest issue, however, was with the internet. It was there, but it was as if it wasn't. Staff apologised, for apparently they had just changed internet providers, but it downgraded our experience. Again, it's a good place to stay if you're a couple on a budget, but I'm overall disappointed with the experience.

Low cost apartment in TaksimPosted Nov 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
For the price the apartment was excellent. It was small but alright for one person. The washing machine was a bonus. Internet was a bit unreliable. Outside looked like the rough end of town but security was fine with a strong steel door and deadlock. Very handy to Taksim Square but out of the mainstream tourist area. 24 hour deli close by. The lady who came to clean every day insisted on ironing my shirt which was very kind of her as she didn't want to be paid.

Nice location + very safePosted May 27, 2013
Pros: Location, safety, helpful staff
Cons: Small shower and street noise.
Location: Close to Metro station and 3 minute walk to Taksim Square.
I stayed at this hotel apartment for 9 nights. I liked it overall. The people that were running the hotel were very nice and helpful. I was in the third floor of where their office is located. It was a little bit of trouble getting the luggage upstairs, but after that we weren't bothered with it since we are young. The wireless did not have good signals in the apartment we stayed at, but as soon as I mentioned it, the staff tried to change our rooms so we can have better signals. They showed me a room that had stronger wifi signals, but I did not want to move my luggage again, so we stayed at the same apartment. I would rate this place 4.5 because of the cons, but I didn't have the option so I went with 5. Pros: Great location (3 minute walk to metro and Taksim Square), Clean, helpful staff, wifi accessibility, good price, Turksat and Hotbird satellite tv, Safe. Cons: Small shower (I know most showers in Turkey are like that, but if a couple want to shower together there is literally no space), a little noisy (that's Istanbul alright). Very recommended overall. I would stay there again for sure.
interestingPosted Nov 19, 2012 on Hotels.com
i enjoyed staying here, room clean and comfortable, reception friendly and helpful. it is situated at the edge of the taralbasci, a once grand neighbourhood that became very dilapidated and is now being renovated. a couple of blocks away it does look a bit scarey ( red light district ) however it is safe, and also quite interesting to stay in a real part of istanbul, not some over touristy bit such as sultanamet. the local cafes are cheap and really excellent turkish food. also just across the road is the lively main street istiklal caddessi. also it is very easy to get to and from the airport because the shuttle bus stops very close by
Decent studio with bad bathroomPosted Jul 30, 2012 on Hotels.com
The studio was ok, clean, close to Taksim square, yet not too noisy, but the bathroom was extremely small, with no ventilation, smell of mould, no hot water in the shower and some electricity leakage from the tap. Also, the kitchen box was very small, with no table.

Comfortable little studioPosted Jun 10, 2012
Pros: Location, comfort, excellent housekeeping
Location: Nice and close to where you want to be but also quite close to a slightly 'dodgy' area
Great little studio apartment. Cheap and cheerful but nice and clean with good facilities. A few minute's walk from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul.

Friendly and centrally located.Posted Jan 4, 2012 on Hotels.com
My stay in the NooN was quite as i expected - a reasonable price, centrally located and without further fuss. The flat itself was quite cramped, but comfortable and nicely decorated. The bed was good, I was happy to find a washingmachine for clothes, and the staff were vert helpfull and friendly. The biggest drawbacks were an unstable and slow internet-connection wich made it hard to get any work done, and the fact that the hot water supply was a bit ... moody. All in all I recommend this company!

Small, clean - but no phone!Posted Oct 7, 2011
Good Things - affordable - clean - close to Taksim Square - friendly english-speaking staff Bad Things - no phone (I've never even heard of that) - the room I had was right by the door, and it was difficult to fall asleep - don't stray too far from main street, looks not nice
