“A new kind of experience”

This was first time we have ever checked into a hotel to have a hotel employee sit us down, and over tea, as us what we wanted from our trip, and then make suggestions on how we could do what we wanted. I'm sure that their goal was to steer us to businesses that they had relationships with, but we had no bad experiences and there was no pressure on us to go with their suggestions. All employees were very friendly. We felt well cared for. As we checked out we were told, "We will miss you" and felt it to be true. Take european plug adaptors - front desk probably won't have them.

“Great Location”

This hotel is in the perfect location for walking to the major historical sites in old Istanbul like the Grand Bazaar, Spice Market, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, and Blue Mosque as well as cafes and restaurants. The staff is helpful, and most speak very good English. Excellent breakfast buffet is included in hotel price. A very good restaurant is on the roof terrace. All the food is freshly made. My only complaint was the bed which was extremely firm--but better than a taco bed. Excellent water pressure and lots of hot water in the shower. This was everything I would expect in a good three star hotel.

“Sehr gutes Hotel in perfekter Lage”

Wir waren Ende Mai 2008 für 4 Tage in diesem Hotel und waren absolut zufrieden. Der Service des äußerst freundlichen Hotelpersonals, das gute Essen im Restaurant auf dem Dach und die ausgezeichnete Lage als Ausgangspunkt für sämtliche Aktivitäten hat uns überzeugt. Wir würden das Hotel sofort wieder buchen.

“Tolles Hotel in bester Lage”

Mein Mann und ich sind im Januar 2008 ins Orient Express gereist und haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Hotel verfügt über eine hervorragende Lage, die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in wenigen Gehminuten zu erreichen oder man fährt mit der Tram, denn eine Haltestelle ist nur 100m entfernt. Die Zimmer waren zwar nicht unbedingt riesig, dafür immer sauber und gepflegt. Das Servicepersonal war stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Empfehlenswert ist auch das Terrace Restaurant, in dem man gut essen kann und von dem man einen perfekten Ausblick über die Stadt hat. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichlich und schön zubereitet. Wir werden nächstes Jahr auf alle Fälle wieder dieses Hotel für unseren Istanbul Aufenthalt auswählen.

“Location, Quality, Comfort”

This hotel is conveniently located near all major attractions, its rooms are comfortable and service good. It has a rooftop restaurant with excellent views of the harbour. I can't fault my stay at the Orient Express Hotel, I would certainly stay again!

“Wonderful city break”

Having stayed for leisure in many cities across Europe we would thoroughly recommend this hotel. It is clean, modern and located within a few minutes walking distance from some of Istanbuls great attractions like Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern. The Hotels most pleasing feature however was its professional and friendly team of staff. We ate breakfast in Hotel each morning which included a lavish spread of fresh and varied foods far exceeding what we have experienced in other countries. Book this hotel with confidence.

“interesting experience”

my experience at Orient Express was fantastic.! I lost my passport, my baggage was lost, my plane broke down and I was a day late, the hotel woke up their cook to make me a free sandwich early in the morning to take with me on my trip that day, all my credit cards stopped working and I ran out of cash, so they loaned me money for taxi, and had faith in my being able to resolve the money problem. I really felt like I imposed upon the staff, but they were much more than pleasant and accomodating in every possible circumstance which a guest could encounter while travelling. I thank you, staff at Orient Express, so much!!! The food is simply incredible, too... so much so that their restaurant is constantly overbooked by people coming from other hotels in the area. Well done, well done, well done!!! steve

“Hotel empfehlenswert”

Wir waren mit dem Hotel sehr zufrieden, Personal äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Lage ideal, sämtliche Sehenswürdigkeiten einschl. Bosporus waren gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Wir haben diese Hotel wegen der Grösse und Lage ausgesucht.

“Great place to stay in Istanbul”

We were met in the lobby by an official "welcomer" to Istanbul who served us tea and gave some helpful tips on getting the most of our 4 day stay in Istanbul. The hotel is along the tramway line, but the noise is barely noticeable really, and the tram stops at 23:00 anyway. All the historical tourist sites are a leisurely walk away. The complimentary breakfast was varied and of a good quality. All the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Gute Lage, sauberes, freundliches Hotel, Service zuvorkommend, Komfort wie in einem 4 Sterne Hotel erwartet. Zimmer zwar klein aber komfortabel.würden wir immer wieder gerne buchen
